Trapn6.0
Looking to see if anyone who has cutout flares with 33s or 35s could measure ground to bottom of flare. Yes I know some cutouts may be different but looking for round about. Pic for comparison. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Pete M
curious as to what you hope to glean?
Trapn6.0
Gain? Just curiosity of ride heights. I searched a bit but couldn't find quite what I was looking for. Mine just seems tall for a spring over. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Pete M
spring-overs range anywhere from 4.5 to 6.5 inches or more. the outright lift varies because of axle tube thickness, leaf pack thickness, and perch height. How much lift you need up front to compensate depends heavily on the sag of your leafs. are your leafs stock? to measure your lift over stock: http://comancheclub.com/topic/11098-how-to-measure-ride-hight/
Trapn6.0
Rear axle is an 8.8. Metric ton leaves I believe. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Pete M
yup. bigger tube plus thicker leaves plus metric ton packs = more lift than most.
Trapn6.0
So those aren't stock Mt leaves? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

johnj92131
Is it just my eyes? I count 4 leafs and 2 helper/overloads Total 6 leafs?
HOrnbrod
You count right John. They are not stock MT 3+2 MT springs.
Pete M
good eye indeed. so bigger tube plus thicker leaves plus metric ton packs plus mystery leaf = more lift than most. maybe. can you snap a shot of the ends of the leaves? the ends of factory leaves should all match and should be equally-ish spaced. Eagle
Looking to see if anyone who has cutout flares with 33s or 35s could measure ground to bottom of flare. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Those aren't factory MJ flares, so any measurements you get won't be worth anything to you. Somewhere on this site I posted the factory service manual measurements for stock ride height. These are taken from the axle to the chassis, so they aren't affected by tire size or by flare selection. I think that's what you need. Trapn6.0
Here's a pic. Thought it didn't look like factory Mt leaves. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Trapn6.0
Whatever the one or ones that don't belong I might remove. Good eyes thank you. And yes Napier flares, just working out a front end height for the lift. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Eagle
Third one down from the top (the one that's thicker than the others and has no hole for the friction pad) is the non-factory leaf.
Trapn6.0
Any of the 2 over loads on bottom factory? Edit might just remove the two overloads. Keep that extra one in the pack. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
johnj92131
My truck used to belong to a drywaller. He had 2 additional overload springs installed on the factory BigTon/MetricTon package for a total of 7 leafs on each side. Plus he added air shocks on the back. I still have the 2 extra overloads on each side. I have put 3200 lbs in the bed and not bottomed out.

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk All MJs had at least one overload leaf. There were, IIRC, two configurations for the metric tonne springs. One was 4+1, the other was 3+2. If I had your truck, I think I would start by removing the shorter overload leaf AND the AAL in the body of the pack, and see where that brought the ride height.
