jimoshel
Got me a new Comanchee. Actually I got 3 but this one is something. A couple days ago a fella came buy and heard I was interested in Comanchees. He had a couple he was tryin to sell. Told him I wasn't interested and was tryin to get rid of the ones I had. Long story short, he had 3 of them and I got all three. Two of them were junkers but the thierd was a jewel. Was last registered in 2000 and has been sitting ever since. Speedo reads 70,000. I spent a half a day cleaning it up. It was used for sorage and junk collecting. Got a battery and tried to start it. Oh Boy. After 10 minutes it caught. Sounded terrible. Knocks, rattles, thunks. I started to shut it off butt figured what the heck. Just see what happens. After io or so minutes it caugrrt and fired. Holy smokes, thing sounded terrible. Long story short. I been running it every chance I get. Still got the old gas in it. At first it ran terrible, had to keep the gas peddle depressed or if would die. Been starting every chane I got for the last couple days. Every time it would run a little better. Finally got the old gas out or it and filled it with 5 gal of fresh gas. Changed the oil. That thing is running like a new one. Cleaned it up a little bit and the upholsrery is like new. Got me another Jeep MJ. Going to try to get some pics later. jimoshel
Hey guy. Thanks. Notice the dent in the tailgate? Brother in law did that when we were unloading it. Other wise there was'nt a thing wrong with it.

yellaheep
That's one helluva nice truck Jim! I totally understand the complete inability to turn one of these away when you're trying to thin the herd.... been there, done that! Wanna sell that winch mount / brush guard on it? :D I just got rid of one because I couldn't find any mounting brackets for it. Who removes one of those and doesn't take ALL of the brackets???? Zebvance
Did you negotiate that roll of TP in with the deal lol! JK very nice truck. Is that a camper topper?
Tykerp
Yellaheep I have one of those brush guard/ winch mounts that came off a Cherokee if you really need one. It does have the brackets.
johnj92131
Did you negotiate that roll of TP in with the deal lol! JK very nice truck. Is that a camper topper? The shell is a GEMTop. They are just low end priced aluminum/sheet metal covers for the pick up bed when they were new. As you may have guessed - I don't think much of the Gem product. Not in the same class at all as SnugTop ifber glass shells or the the thermoPlasitc shells like Brama. But that one looks like it has had the same excellent car as the rest of Jim's new truck. I'll bet Jim didn't pay $500 for all 3 of the trucks!
64 Cheyenne
Hey guy. Thanks. Notice the dent in the tailgate? Brother in law did that when we were unloading it. Other wise there was'nt a thing wrong with it. That's where I would have turned that truck over to finish it off because I would have been so mad...
