How was your weekend?

This past weekend Katelyn and I where able to get away from home and spend the weekend at my grandparents fishing camp. Aside from being just outright hot the weather was beautiful.  Friday we loaded up my Comanche and left town later than i was planning.  While i was there i was able to sell my old MJ bumper to a fellow CC member.  We took the boat out a couple times and i managed to catch the biggest fish of the year in my family (we never had any luck catching bass).  also achieved an awesome sunburn...

Sounds like you had a way better weekend than I did. I spent mine rebuilding the front suspension and steering on my father's Buick. Not a hard job, but doing anything sucks when it's 100+ outside and humid. Didn't even touch a Jeep, either.

My weekend was pretty sweet. Saturday was, at least. Woke up early and mowed my yard with the beast of a mower my mother bought last month (I uh... blew up the motor in our junky mower we had before...) then proceeded to move the TJ Canyons and brand new 235's from my old Jeep and put them on my new Jeep EoBgyLw.jpg

Originally the plan was to swap the tires onto the Turbines that came with the new Jeep. But I am REALLY digging the black Canyons and have gotten many compliments on how sweet it looks with them. Also put the tool box on it. And a poser shot with my Contour :D KRjZZpO.jpg I work Sundays, though, so ya'll know how that weekend day was lol.

My weekend just ended. Here's to a summer of Thursday-Monday work weeks...

Replaced driver's side ball joints in the MJ - Good thing too!

Also messed around with the GoPro I picked up last week for cheap from a coworker.

Your video looks like the plains up north of Edmonton, Alberta except for a few more trees. I went up there a few times to settle some wheat property my brother-in-law owned when he passed away a few years ago. Flat land maximus. Saw a few buffalo too.

It's the bison enclosure at the national park I work at. Ran out of memory on the card just before encountering the rest of the herd. Missed out catching a whole bunch of adorable calves and incredibly nervous mothers. It's one of the few spots of grassland (or even flat land) in the park. I'll have to post some of the drive out there... which is what took up most of the space on the card. 16GB gets eaten up fast.

Sounds like a great place to work.

It's still uploading but here's another clip... step two in messing around with the gopro is going to be figuring out a way to reduce file sizes in post, cause my internet takes forever (this one's been 10 hours and only 60% uploaded so far) to get the higher definition stuff up.

It's a great place to live, and a decent (if frustrating) employer. But living in the park itself brings unique challenges to those who enjoy wrenching in the back yard... I'm also not the biggest fan of the "take it or leave it" internet service.

Edit: Video should be up now.

I know tomorrow starts a new weekend. But I had a choice, either enter a small local large mouth bass tournament. Or go to the wildwood jeep invasion. I chose to drive an hour to wildwood. Got a little saltwater fishing in though, on Friday night. Then checked out the jeep show on the beach. Not too many mj's. My mj is getting painted, otherwise it would have been on the beach shoulder to shoulder with all the other jeeps. Good vender turn out.I'm going to try to have my mj ready to drive to the OC Maryland jeep weekend. Most of my weekends are like what Pete did.
