Iowamike
Also changed oil/filter an sea foamed it. Went over the vacuum line with black tape where elbows that where loose oil smells of gas like its running rich maybe?
Pete M
full distributor or just the cap? if the whole thing was replaced, check that the distributor was installed correctly. it's very easy to be off a tooth.
SVPete
If you haven't worked your way through many of Cruiser54's tips, I highly recommend you do. A simple search of this forum will bring them up, or go to Cruiser54.com. I also recommend replacing your EGR valve, since, if it is the original, the spring in the transducer (round-ish black plastic item immediately before the actual valve) has likely rusted into nothingness. But start at the beginning.....Cruiser's tips.
tugalo
Did you change the fuel filter?

Iowamike
Well i think ill start with getting a multi meter an some electrical gell an some new ground wires. If that don't do it ill take on tryn to adjust the cps never done any electric work other then house stuff. Looks like crusers page pretty much walks ya through it. I'm pretty sure its an electrical problem because it ran great tell i messed with the idle air control an the fuel rail leak. I dunno if they replaced the hole distubter but i remember a family friend shocken the hell out of him self as my pops keept turning it over funny as hell great memory but i dunno if they ever got it right or not. tugalo
If you have to go into the fuse block, it is the same as the C101 on the firewall side and is also full of the black preservative.
