Does anyone have this bracket, seen below, for sale or trade?

It mounts using the two driver's side transfer case nuts/studs.

When I got my transfer case from the JY, I pulled it from an automatic XJ and grabbed its bracket thinking the two were the same... Clearly I was wrong, oops...

If anyone has one for sale, or would be willing to trade me an AX15 one for my AW4 one, please reply to this thread or PM me!

So I pulled up the old parts catalog and found this:

We are talking about the #31 bracket in this snip, it looks like you are wanting to get 5300 5457 from what I can tell. This is one of the two brackets that I have... Will you need other parts?

I also have #15 5300 5448 and #17 5300 5445...

I've also figured out that AX-15e means External Slave...

I would simplify the 4WD linkage and pick up the boostwerks linkage.

I can't second that enough.

I agree, and if it were a rig that I was going to keep and need 4WD often, I'd totally do that.  However, the truck I need these for is being restored and sold for profit.

If you are "restoring" and going "all original", it makes sense to want to run the POS stock linkage. On the other hand, if you want something that works for a reasonable price then the boostwerks.com linkage makes WAY more sense. I'm sure whomever the future owner may be will appreciate it more than you think.

Are you actually restoring it, or fixing it up?

Both?  I'm not sure what you mean.

Also, only Concours-Level show cars would benefit from

a (mostly) unseen stock replacement part. 95% of buyers

want appearance and functionality so things like upgraded

brakes, wires, radios, and linkages won't hurt anything in

resale or intergrity. These arent Arrows or Packards, Id

bet honest money the rarest Mj on the planet right now

would not see a cent lost on something like a linkage.

The great thing about the boostwerks setup is that it is

also 100%-Mod free - you don't like it, you can just go back

to stock. And if you do get a seller who questions the

change, just send them to this thread - I'll be the

15th person here to say it - A direct linkage (like

Boostwerks or similar) is a 100x stronger, more reliable,

BETTER than OEM....

That being said, if you want to stick to factory then make

sure you get the correct mounting bracket that attaches to

the transmission tunnel too... I don't know if the AW4 and

Ax15 are compatible, but itll be very frustrating to hit

that point and discover theyre not...
