Strokermjcomanche
There should be A slight drag . If it seems excessive go compare it with another one from the parts store .
jbuds690
No drag just completely stops it's brand new
Strokermjcomanche
It seems like one of the fins may have gotten bent and is hitting the housing , or a bad bearing . Another thing I would check is that the pulley and or pulley bolts aren't making contact with anything .

yxmj
It is going to have to come off.....dry fit it this time when you put it on (no rtv or gasket) finger tighten the bolts and spin it from time to time until you feel it starting to jamb on something...twist it gently back and forth a couple of times and then take it off...maybe you can see were it is rubbing. And with all do repect.....it is the correct pump..... . :MJ 1: . ....right?

metrictonner
The pipe that screws into the right side of the water pump goes right down to the blades. Did something fall down into it?
