gomanche
Hey fellas, I am in need of a Comanche donor body short bed only in or near Raleigh NC. I am willing to travel for the right truck. notice I said "right truck" not "right deal" what I am hopefully going to find and will pay extra for is one that has the late model front end and interior in it already as well as a black exterior originally. will pay more for a painted one. the only thing mandatory is a short bed! I really don't care if its a 4 or 6 cylinder or a 2 or 4 wd truck. doesn't matter I'm replacing everything anyway. I will pay fair market price for the right truck....title work is mandatory for retail pricing. The Comanche has to have ZERO RUST and Almost Zero DENTS. no exceptions. they are out there!! I have bought and sold many through the years. prefer an eliminator too. Feel good in knowing your Comanche will become the planets baddest @$$ MJ out there. I plan to build my next project "gomanche" some of you might remember the slammed stroker street truck I built and documented....if not hold on toy our hats....this one getting extreme. contact me with any trucks that meet some or all of this criteria at qiktrip@gmail.com or send pics and info to 336-592-0893 text preferred. I am building the STR8-Jacket A SRT8 Grand Cherokee drivetrain in a Comanche 800hp AWD tire shredding fun. a blown 392 6.4 hemi swap along with all the goodies from the donor SRT8 GC all I need is the perfect Donor Comanche to start with. I already have everything else. this will take about 6 months to build and will be documented closely here. I build custom jeeps for a living so look forward to some cool new twists that mix both on and off road design to make for an all mopar supertruck!!!! gomanche
to clarify, it does not have to have the front end conversion already, I would prefer one and am willing to pay for it as well as dash swap. also interested in any rust free s/b 91 or 92 to not cut up for a future project!! shelbyluvv
How much are you willing to pay for a FULLY 97+ converted, 4wd converted, black, 89 Eliminator? I own that exact truck. I don't want or need to sell my truck but I can be persuaded with the right offer.

gomanche
I saw that one in Pittsburgh. Looked very nice thx. I tried to link my old build and couldn't find it in my history here. I'll find it from nc4x4 and link it here. Shelby, is this the onyx jeep in your signature??
shelbyluvv
Yes it is. Surface rust on the floors, no dents, minor dings. Runs good but has a knock and low oil pressure. I daily drive it.
gomanche
http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/threads/a-different-kind-of-mj-build.67790/ Found it. It's been a while since I was on this forum but I'm looking to get back into a comanche. As an avid jeep collecter I find my best ones are hand built. shelbyluvv
In all honesty I am getting a case a deja vu. I sold that truck 4 years ago to a buddy who had plans to put a Hemi in it and take great care of it. Neither of those happened and it became a rattle canned and bed lined hunting rig. I bought it back after she sat for a year and finally got most of the bugs worked out of it. All in I have over $5000 in that truck. I will not take less than $4000 for it. I know the price is high but, like I said, I don't want or need to sell her.
gomanche
Is there Bedliner on the body? 4k for a converted is not unrealistic in my opinion if it's all done correctly. I tried to find somebody who has done this already and couldn't find any.....I want to be the first dang it!
shelbyluvv
No bed liner on the body. It is on the flares, bumper caps and plastic side vents. The truck is not perfect. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side and leaks above the steering wheel. The rear window leaks. The upper cowl leaks onto the floor. The HVAC opening is still the 89 style and needs to be updated to the 97 style. The e brake does not work. It needs the equalizer bolted to the bed. It does not have carpet because of the leaks ruining it. The drain plugs in the front floor are opened up to keep the water from sitting on the floor too long. The fan shroud is broken. The rear exhaust pipe is starting to rust out. The interior plastics are still not redone in the proper agate color to match the dash and door panels. She needs a few things to be perfect. I will get to them eventually. Right now I just don't have a place to work on it. I am moving into a house next month and can finally park it and dig into repairing the leaks and HVAC opening. shelbyluvv
You will catch hell finding a converted truck for under $4000. I know first hand how much it costs to build one. I have over $5k in mine. Good luck with the search. When I finish mine this summer I will not take a penny less than $6500 for it.
