Seller is high IMO (<<<edited text), but hey, ya gotta start somewhere.

1992 Jeep Comanche Sport 2wd. 4.0 AW4 automatic w/approx 200k. Manufactured 12/91. The truck is from California and is 100% rust free original. It is a driver quality MJ that is currently garaged. I'm asking $5500 firm, but will entertain trade offers as well. Contact me through the Craigslist link for more information. Thank you

Interesting. Maybe I should've checked with you before I listed it.

Don't take it personally. Although the members on here are generally a really great group of guys (and gals) I have noticed they are the penny pinchiest, tight wadiest, misers I've had the privilege of associating with. We all would benefit from higher value of our trucks, so good luck with the sale.

5500 isn't that far off. If it sells, it drives the value up for the rest of us, which is a good thing. 200k miles would scare off most people, but to a well maintained MJ that's nothing. 4.0/AW4 is probably one of the longest lived truck drivetrains there is.

I can definitely confirm that I'm a cheap@$$ though :D

Considering that XJs with similar mileage in great condition still sell for $4,000 plus that price range for a similar condition and harder to obtain MJ is fine. If it is really clean original paint as it looks it the pictures then I would easily toss $5,000 at it if I was buying.

I still stand by the courtesy that if you do not like the price then either talk to the person privately if you are really interested or just leave it alone. The owner of one of the XJs I viewed over the weekend had no idea there was a giant hole in the floor. He reposted it on Craigslist later for half the price when I showed him that. Sometimes people just have no idea of the vehicle condition or how it affects their pricing.

Previous owner changed the cluster, so the true mileage is unknown. Body and undercarriage are extremely clean which would indicate lower mileage, but I am at the mercy of the current odometer.

The term "delusional" is inappropriate in any context. Price is set to discourage tire kickers and dreamers. Thinning my collection, so best reasonable offer will be accepted.

As the author of the OP of this thread, I edited the initial post to respond to the seller's sensibilities.

I cross posted the CL ad to give the vehicle exposure in a forum of interest.

As a penny pinchiest, tight wadiest, miser, I wish you the best in your endeavor.

I will have to say that you might want to include some interior pics as most people will want to see inside the truck before they come out. Maybe also post some underneath pics also. The two pics will not get many people coming out to look at your truck. But to the seller don't take it personal its your truck sell it for what you want. You would not want to know what my offer would be for you truck, but then again I am pretty cheap and if I can't get it for the price I want it for then I will keep looking. Best of luck and remember were all friends here.

JeepMech,

Above is 100% true!

I am not in the market, but can tell all the cheapies, the very best truck to buy is one in good condition when you start.  It is really expensive to take a mediocer vehicle and bring it up to nice standards..

Also, for a better price and wider exposure.  You may want to look at Ebay.  Some of the cars for sale there are presented extreemly well.  And they sell for some nice coin.  But you have to do some sales work.

Good luck with the sale.
