Trailer hitch uhaul(or similar)

Looking for trailer hitch receiver that mounts under the stock bumper. Uhaul had one that bolted to the truck frame.

I can't seem to find anyone selling them still and the day kits look nice but a lot of work.

75-100 depending on condition plus shipping.

Mj had a truck frame and the xj has unibody in the rear. That would have to be some good luck or amazing fore thought on the jeep designers to make the mounting points the same for the rear. I appreciate you checking though.

Nates is nice but not what I'm looking for. The diy one looks good but I just want something that is ready to go. Stock bumper I like so the hitch underneath would work the best. I'll keep looking around.

The XJ/ Cherokee hitch will not work, as rekyt120 said.

For the $75/100 you are willing to spend, including shipping.  You need to be looking at every Comanche you find in a Pick UR part yard.  Over the last 6+ years, I have seen 3 Comanche hitches in JY.  2 of them, I was unable to remove.  The 1 I was able to remove sold for $250.  I am in Southern California, so I am reasonably sure there are more Comanches here than in Rochester, NY.

Now, you may want to look at the factory trailer hitch from an early Grand Cherokee.  I have not measured, but the fit looks like it could work.  On the Grand Cherokee, the hitch bolts into the bottom of the frame rails, unlike the MJ hitch, which bolts onto the side of the frame rails.  For what it is worth, I have seen one MJ hitch that mounts the same way to the frame rails and bolted to the MJ bumper just fine.  There was no identifying decal on that MJ hitch, but it was well done.

Well I started around 100. I could easily go higher to the 200 range if the right one was available and in the right condition. If nothing turned up I think I can still get a shop to make me a custom one

The "trailer hitch" wanted comes up several times a quarter.  I suggest you do a search for "trailer hitch" in all forums.  That will bring up 160 different posts over the last several years.  More than just a few are worth reading.  Here is a link to start reading:

The thread has some links to one or two other very informative threads. You can find drawings and measurements needed to custom make a duplicate factory hitch.  Good luck.

I have a lead on a factory receiver if you are still interested.

It's in excellent condition, not damaged and truck has not been hit. Typical surface rust as one might expect.

$250 plus shipping.

Let me know by tomorrow night, I will remove it Sunday if you want it.
