Well On christmas night, Someone decided to break into my truck & steal my mp3 player & My new lockpick set. Found my winch remote outside on the ground, Door was wide open when i woke up in the morning.

Hoping to scrape together enough to buy the clayton 4link next week.

Have you gotten the kit yet?

Got it around 7pm Tuesday.

I remember reading that you have to do a 'small' amount of cutting to fit the 3link, Since the XJ & MJ frame is slightly different.

Much to my shock, there's a LOT of differences lol

I think I'm going to have to hammer massage in part of my floor board to have clearance for the upper control arm, Really hope the lowers have enough up travel.

Got the pass. Side old control arms/drop brackets removed & The new arm installed.

Still need to cut off the lower control arm mount on the frame, And weld on the HD Uper control arm axle mount. Hopefully i'll be able to drive it home tomorrow.

Should flex a bit more, Noticed about 2-3~ inches of shock travel unused, As the current WJ Control arms are bottoming out on the axle. There's a big ol dent in one of the lower control arms, where its been beating on the axle :/

Issue after issue..

The Heavy Duty Upper control arm brace/bracket on the axle side wasnt cut properly, So it wouldnt slip over the Control arm mount. Had to cut it out, Not a big issue but still annoying when you spend $1k for a kit.....

I have to either re-route my brake/gas lines or figure out some sort of bump stop, As the upper control arm will smash into them otherwise :(

Going back out to the shop in an hour~ from now to hopefully finish it up.

Final touch up welds!

Drove it home today :)

Tomorrow after work while its still light out, I'm going to go flex it & take pics.

The arm isnt about to hit the frame there btw, Thats just a bad angle pic lol

Coil was like 2" from touching, If it werent for the coil retainers, I could have just pulled it out lol

Hit one small trail, Then went home before it got dark. Had to adjust the crossmember, Had it 1" too low for my driveline angle.

So far only downside i've noticed on the road, is extra road noise because of no rubber bushings in the links. Not that it really matters though.

Seems like your at the point where you'd want bigger tires

Yea, Eventually.

Originally when i got the 33's anything larger would have most likely broken my stock dana30/35 lol

Now i just need to figure out if i want to do 35's, or 37's.

37s would be cool, but seems like you'd have to some trimming, and the Dana 30 might be a little small. Maybe a truss?

Been awhile since I've posted.

Haven't really done any work on the 'manche lately, Took it out for the first time in awhile yesterday & Somehow managed to blow the cap off of my rear shock on the gravel road up the mt.

Put in a CB radio a few weeks back.

Been quite awhile since I posted...

Haven't really done much on the truck lately, Been running pretty good as is.

Month ago~ My NP231 transfercase decided to randomly grenade itself while i was driving the truck, Took awhile to find a replacement.. Ended up with one out of a grand cherokee, Which was a PITA since it had some weird sleeve in the input shaft, that kept it from going more than 70% on the AW4.. Had to completely take it apart to punch the sleeve out. But now the truck is back up and running again, Also decided to replace the stock 4wd shifter linkage that i've had nothing but problems with, for a boostwerks np231 HD linkage. Seems pretty stout, But kinda pain to shift in/out of 4wd low with it.

Also picked this up today : HvyFpPn.jpg

Hopefully after i fix it up, it will become my tow-rig for my 'manche :D

Threw a new carb on it, Since the carter was all messed up from the PO. The vacuum lines were COMPLETELY wrong, No PCV valve, Vacuum hooked straight to the intake breather valve, etc. Massive vacuum leaks EVERYWHERE, Spent 5~ hours redoing everything.. And now it runs damn near new. Starts up within 2 seconds of cranking, even when cold. I'll make a new build thread for it soon, with pics.
