Link to the original source?  I'd like to know where they got these numbers.  I'm a bit confused about the 1985 numbers considering there were no 1985 MJ's.  I know that the '86s would've been built in '85, but they still would've been '86 models.  The '92 models, if that number is accurate, really are as rare as they say.

The numbers are for year produced. There were a lot of 86s made in 85 and the same with the 92s. There were a lot more 92s with 91 build dates. My 86 was made 9/85 but it is still a 86.

I remember reading that the 92 units sold were approx. 3800, but that most of the units were assembled from left over parts from 91. By 92, Chrysler had decided to stop production on the MJ.
