zfinger
Added some LED tail lights today, pulled the bench seat out, and threw in some new seats out of an 07' Mini Cooper vert. I still need to build the brackets, but they're heated and only cost me $80!
Lowly
Been thinking about doing my rear tail lights this way. What all is involved? How long does it take a novice? Where you buy those tail lights or get them? Do they do amber for turn signals?

zackcj7
Do you still have the Brat seats? Those things are getting really hard to find.

zfinger
Got the 2007 Mini Cooper seats mounted in the truck. I used a combination of the Mini seats, Mini sliders (narrowed) on custom brackets welded to the MJ bench brackets. They feel great and the sliders work! zfinger
Got the snorkel mounted up and plumbed in. Washer fluid bottle needs to be relocated to the passenger side still.
ComancheKid45
Thats quite the odd paint job.....haha. Nice lookin truck though!
zfinger
The truck came with that paint job, which if I was still 18 I'd like. This is a work/company truck for me, so she'll be getting a re-spray to something more presentable and professional. Probably a snow camo pattern

dscowell
Hey I'm in Erie just east of you. Â I'm in Boulder quite often since Erie has nothing. Â And thank you for planning on redoing the paint job. Â Now just get that bad boy on some trails.
zfinger
Â Just got the floor painted with a product called Durabak. Its my first time using it, but I like it better than Herculiner. Feels harder and like it bonded better. Ordered light gray but it looks like white to me. Â Also just picked up this little jalopy on a trade. 1959 Willys with a 307 V8. She runs, drives and has a title! I'll be doing some body work and selling her off ASAP.

Motorcharge
Goofy as hell paint job, but I kinda like it and that's not normally my style at all. :laughin: Â Those seats look great. How tall are you and how's the head room in them? How comfortable are they? Â Any idea who makes that front bumper? Â Great looking Willys too. I don't think I could bring myself to sell one if I got one.
zfinger
The paint came on the truck, I'm planning on just a regular snow camo. Needs to be presentable as a work truck. Â I'm 5' 8", they're super comfortable! They are taller than the bench seat, but not too tall. Bumper also came on the truck, looks like a Smittybilt or something. Could be custom? zfinger
Well, pulled the trigger and bought a 2000 XJ with 140k, back and tan interior, and an automatic. Got her to the shop today and got the interior gutted. Tomorrow the drivetrain comes out along with the dash. Hopefully buy the end of next week the a MJ will be a fresh 2000! Motorcharge
Well this just got a lot more interesting. You're not using the motor from it are you? I'd be weary of the head issues on the motor based on the fact that someone parted that XJ out from the looks of it. Â Either way, looking forward to this. I'm not a fan of the 97+ exterior, but I'd love to have the newer interior in my MJ.
zfinger
It was a rollover. Flopped in the passenger side. Runs great, even yard drove before the axles and t-case were sold. Â I wanted a 97-99 not a 00, but options and money were limited. I need this swap ASAP, I don't trust my Renix.
