Bmoore2 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Hey guys, The other day on my way home from work I noticed that the blower was not blowing any heat out. Then when I turned off the main road I noticed that my signal lights were not working. No flash in the cab, nor do the outside lights work. I have head lights, tail lights, dummy gauges work when turning the key. I checked the fuses inside the cab and they all look good. I looked at cruisers ground tips on the link in his signature but didn't see much about either of my problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
HOrnbrod Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Try swapping the flashers. http://comancheclub.com/topic/41600-front-turn-signals-don't-work/?hl=flasher&do=findComment&comment=421230 Use a test light or multimeter to check for power at the fan connector.
Bmoore2 Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 Just went and swapped the flashers and still no signals. Emergency still works....
Bmoore2 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Does anyone know if there is a bad ground that could be causing this?
carnuck Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 If your brake lights work then the problem is probably in the fusebox. Corrosion of the box causes the heater fan to melt the wire off in the back and sometimes other circuits are taken out with it.
Bmoore2 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah all lights work except turn signals and the blower motor and they both stopped working in the same day.... Ughhhhh so much fun.
87MJTIM Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Just a silly question regarding the blower: had you taken out your radio recently? If so, check it to make sure you did not push the power supply connector off. You may have slid it back a little so is was still contacting at first but the shaking of the truck knocked it off. Voice of experiance
cruiser54 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The big brown wire at your ignition switch is probably burned and the switch is bad.
Bmoore2 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Thanks guys.... I will check out these suggestions.
cruiser54 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 If it turns out to be the ignition switch, you owe me a beer.
Bmoore2 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 I will gladly buy you a beer if that's what it is.
