redwolf624 Posted September 4, 2013 Share Posted September 4, 2013 ok, this has been slightly botherin me and i've been puttin this project off for a long time, since march actually, when i press the parkin break pedal all the way to the floor is clicks back up untill it's a little higher than the clutch pedal, i've seen other comanches that'll have em all the way to the floor, is there a way to adjust em, is the break cable too short? what could be causin this? when i set that break pedal it doesn't roll but if i slam my door hard it'll pop off :doh: any ideas? The teeth should look the same all the way across. It may be gummed up but this is a common problem to strip out. I think jeep had a recall or service information on this back in the day. ftpiercecracker1 Posted September 6, 2013 Share Posted September 6, 2013 Resharpen the teeth on the rotating assembly using a cutting blade and a grinder. Also weld on a new "tip" for the locking mechanism. Grind down to fit. I still have not perfected mine, but thats only because i am to lazy/busy to tear that whole mess out and fix what needs fixin.
