It does look pretty nice. Any rust?

The only place i can tell from the pictures is on the rear passenger rocker panel, but other wise it looks pristine.

Shahp looking. Maybe the fella meant pushbar instead of roll bar? :hmm:

My thinking as well.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but its also got power windows!! What makes it even better is that my MJ has the exact same color interior except bucket seats and center console. I seriously SERIOUSLY want this truck. I will be calling him tomorrow and contacting my bank about a loan first thing in the morning. Just to give you an idea of excited i am, my hands are shaking slightly. :jump:

Must be a PW conversion cuz the master switch has 4 switches but the truck only has 2 windows!

But I plan on doing the same to mine....

wouldnt 2 of the switches be for power locks? Because the pass door has 2 switches?

Also it is a column shift with a floor shift console. I would get the VIN first and have it run through Chrysler first. Then use all the info you find that is either wrong or added to bargin with.

Good calls.

If it has less than 180K on the Odometer, everything works, and really is as nice as the pictures I think $3200 would be a fair price, what do you think?

Thats a nice truck I would haggle a little and try to get the price down and don't act like it is the sickest MJ you ever seen just tell them you are looking for a truck to take the trash to the dump every now and then. (THE CAMPER SHELL HAS TO GO !!!!!!!!!) that was the first thing i did when i got my MJ home.

it is beautiful. there are some strangnesses though. ive never seen a column shift on an eliminator, or anything other than buckets and console for that matter.

The Eliminator Package only came with Buckets, console, and floor shift. I am going to imagine it is a true Elim, because the decals match the age of the truck, and buckets/column shift wouldn't be too hard to swap in.

4 switches is correct. Power locks, passenger window lock-out, driver window, passenger window.

Could be Conversion but I doubt it - - - Door panels are missing none of the chrome & the switches themselves are correct 2 window jobs - DS has buttons for Pwr Locks - Pwr Win Disco and L&R Win - - PS switch has 2 Buttons for PW & PL

High, high, high. I'd be shooting for 2500 not knowing the miles and by the condition. I would cite all the modifications from the factory that have been done to it, and make it a point if the original seats/parts are gone.

Rob.

x2. exactly what i was thinking. going in with knowledge and being able to throw it out there will help a ton. especially if your a good talker, you could have it for 2500 easy. just think, used car salesman haha

FWIW - Regardless of weather you're the buyer or the seller - You 1st have to sell yourself - - Doesn't hurt to let a seller know you love the truck - Just don't pi$$ 'em off by pointing to every little flaw - Don't quote KBB/other prices - No need to prove your knowledge of what's wrong/could go wrong - The seller prob knows all of these things & if they don't it's gonna be harder to come of as a good guy, plus they'll react like all of us upon hearing bad/unwelcome news - - - - Sell yourself 1st & get them inna good mood selling the truck to you - - Do not show up in anything flashy/expensive - Leave the Rolex at home - - When the price comes up be honest or semi honest - Just tell 'em you want it, it's probably worth it but you don't have that much $ - - If they move, fine, you've started off correctly - if an impasse is reached just cover your tracks by saying something like let me ck with wife/friend/relative & see if I can come up with a little more, then yes/no & it'll be time for the big decision - - - - - Just the more flys with honey thing - - - - - - - - - - Nice looking MJ - - Hope the seller isn't following this thread - - Good luck

I think your being a little to optomistic there Rob. If he would take $2500 for it i would have sold my kidney by now. I am expecting to pay a little over 3k for it, but we/I can always hope.

I couldnt agree more about the selling yourself, if someone doesnt like you, you can forget about haggling.

Flashy? Whats that? I have a 00 tundra with 270K that has more dents and dings than a golf ball has dimples. My clothes generally have more oil and grease on them then my cars and i've never even held a Rolex either. :D

All good stuff.

Check list of things to ask.

What is the mileage

Are you the original owner

Do you have service records

Did you do an auto or PW conversion

Rust anywhere else besides rocker panel

Does everything work

Any leaks or noises

I'm really terrified that when i call he will say its got 250K or more :( , but with the body in as good of condition as it is i can't possibly imagine its over 200

Personally I think that's a fair price for the truck. Anything less would make it a good deal. $2500 would be a steal.

I'd definitely question the Eliminator package authenticity. That floor "half" console isn't correct except for floor shifted trucks. Column shift 4x4 trucks got a small bezel that went around the t-case shifter. And like Rob said, Eliminator interior packages were pretty strictly buckets, full console with a floor shift for manual and auto. From what I understand, the D44 rear axle was also part of the package - this truck has a D35.

The Eliminator stickers are available as reproductions and the lower silver body stripes look to be painted on. The OEM vinyl body stripes had a pixelated fade to them, not solid as pictured, and they don't go to the bottom of the body either.

I'm gonna call this an Eliminator Impostor......... but a nice one.

I'll stand by my number. We don't know the miles, it shows visible rot, an interior that is not stock, the floors are most likely gone, the lift kit is a cheaper brand, I would be on high alert for body work... I see some money in the wheels and tires... That's about it.

I'm not saying I would go there and walk up guns blazing, but I would make you knowledge known through conversaton, discuss whay you think are issues and then tell them about what you would do if the truck was yours. Bring an automotively inclined friend, so you remain grounded and don't end up with blinders on.

If it is an imposter, they did one hell of a job. :clapping: Oh, and that particular Eliminator sticker CANNOT be found aftermarket. Believe me, i've looked, hard.
