i'm the 4th owner. the kid i got it from only had it for 2 months and before that, it only had 6,000 miles put on it from 10/08 to 12/12. i ran the carfax and it's clean.

 

i reside on a barrier island in new jersey but the truck is from farther inland which is evident from no rust.

Are you sure it has 4;10 gears? I have found a few automatic 4 holers with 4:56s in them.

 

Either way you have a very nice truck.

same i know older 4 cyl auto xjs had 4:56s i had the rear end to one but scrapped it like a dumbass

no, i/m not sure of the gearing. need to geter up in the air and do the rotations, or look for the tag. are the 456's that much more desireable? and why would they use such a low gearing in a 2.5?

You can read the tag on the diff covers to see what is in there. The 2.5 was under powered. The auto trans made it even worse. The deep gears make up for the power loss caused by the auto.
