flint54
People, horses, and trucks are not meant to live alone. So, this beast has now been added to the fleet: Image taken 2 days ago in front of our Montana place, at 10 degrees below zero. Truck is a 1986 J20 with 56k original miles. It sucks gas like there's no shortage of dinosaurs, but it will pull a lot more than the Comanche.

JeepcoMJ
Very nice. ditch those side steps. go with nerf bars if you need the step, but those side steps are 100% rust promotion...you cannot reasonably clean the salt/sand/grime from behind them in an area that gets snow. Love it tho. nice truck

Love it tho. nice truck I'm going to have to agree on the side steps. I purchased a FSJ Cherokee (rhino grill and pie plates) a couple years ago. Before I even got it running, I removed a set of those.

flint54
Thanks all. I agree on the side steps, they're useless on this truck at stock height, and will be coming off as soon as I get back out there. There are a few "mystery wires", from PO to deal with, and it will get all new fluids. Might even fix the sagging headliner, but I don't plan to do anything else but wax the original paint, and pressure wash the underside after the last snow is gone sometime in June. Butchershop
That is such a manly truck. Just oozing testosterone. (keep it away from cyclists from Austin) Very nice find! Look forward to seeing more pics...
Minuit
What you've got here is perhaps the only thing that can draw the reverence of the Comanche club more than an actual Comanche. It's beautiful.
Guest
Sweet, sweet, sweet. Does it have the 360 or 258? 360; IIRC, no J20 ever came with a 258. Very nice truck by the way. Browless too
