MJRemi
Jim, the next time you go up in the air you need to take an aerial view photo of the collection. Of course you'll have to take one every week forevermore to include the newest stray you bring home.

Guest
I sometimes wonder how much of AMC/Chrysler's profits from the Comanche were from Colorado... Got any plans for the old girl?
jimoshel
I sometimes wonder how much of AMC/Chrysler's profits from the Comanche were from Colorado... Got any plans for the old girl? Yep. She's going to run and look like a new one when I'm through with her. Actually it runs like a new one now. Just looks bad. Sitting under a tree for 11 years will do that for a machine. HOrnbrod
Sitting under a tree for 11 years will do that for a machine. If you picked her up from under a tree you must have gone to the Springs to find it, si?
jimoshel
If you picked her up from under a tree you must have gone to the Springs to find it, si? Harumph!! :fs1: Wise guy. We do have trees in Pueblo. Along the river bottom and older parts of town. Mostly Elm and Cottonwood. Lots' of Cedar and Pinion but it doesn't get big enough to cover a car.
jimoshel
Was out cleaning the newbie up this AM. Has several firsts for me. First MJ, or XJ that I ever got with the original AM-FM-cassette tape player. THEY ALL WORK! Has all paper work from the day the the original owner picked it up at the dealership till he parked it in 2001. Went out the door for $7,995, Had the extended warranty 7years, 70,000 miles, owners manual, etc. Needs new battery, upper radiator hose, washed. Looks like the water pump is OK. Needs a new gasket. Tires. Did I mention washed? Finally found some rust. Light surface rust on back side rear bumper. Spare looks like original tire. Never been on the ground. Would like to find one like this more often.

glundblad
He is no longer responding to any posts. He must have been offended by the "Lack of Trees" comment. Must have been a sensitive issue for him. :laughin: Jim, whatever happened to the white Chief you had. Did you get her going oK?
COFFMAN
Hey Jim where's the pics of this fine rig all cleaned up. And you do realise this new rig has killed the 6-71 Detroit thread i was enjoying that one. By the way do ya reckon a MJ would have pulled one of those suckers home, very light in the steering i would say.
jimoshel
Fella backed out the deal. Decided he didn't want to give it away after all. He's the one I got the MJ from. Belonged to his dad who passed away. I tried to keep this thread and the diesel thread together as one post but it got screwed up and had to make two posts out of it. As soon as it warms up it's getting washed. Really curious as to what it will look like clean and polished.
