Alexia
He said he'll come down on the price cause of the tranny. When I talk to him Friday to get his address I'm going to offer 2500, you think thatd be good? Knucklehead97 Rust, bucket seat is worn out, tears/rips in the driver door seal, bumper is bent/broken, and the paint only looks good in the pictures since it was just washed/is wet. I would offer $2,000 maximum.

Knucklehead97
I wrote down everything Alexia noticed and am mentioning it when I call him again (I can't thank you enough for noticing all of that, it was stuff I didnt even think to look for) The guy actually is a member on here, but I didnt get his username. Hopefully he'll come down to a better price.
Knucklehead97
The guy wouldnt take less than 25 for it. I told him I'd pass. If it had been closer to me I wouldve went and looked before making the decision, but it wasnt. The search is still on
terrawombat
Patience is key when searching for an MJ. Too many people think that because they had such a short production run and there are limited numbers that they're collectible and should fetch a premium because of that. The majority of MJs for sale aren't worth more than $2,000. Every so often I see one that is in exceptional shape where I'd go as high as $3,000 to get it, but those don't come around often. Knucklehead97
Theres been some really nice ones. Such as the one in Rainsville that I nearly got for 32, but the guy sold it to someone paying 36 -.- I'm just gonna keep on looking. It's what I know how to work on, cause of my brothers Cherokee. I don't feel like learning how to work on something else, quite yet.
Knucklehead97
Back again :rotf: This one has a nice looking interior, a couple dents in it, and a really high mileage. But might be worth it? What you guys think http://shoals.craigslist.org/cto/3434612520.html
ftpiercecracker1
If you get that one I have a bed that is the exact same color, decals and all that i might be willing to part with. Also is a good thing, that ding is in the door, since they are much easier to replace than cab corners. see if he will go for 1500, 1750 is a little high for that many miles, but other wise i think you might have found a wiener. Knucklehead97
I was planning on asking about going 1500  And if I get it, I'll probably just take a rubber mallet to the cab corner and see what I can do. Otherwise it doesnt really matter, right now. I'll be doing a full bedliner paint job eventually  I'm going to call the guy in a minute, hopefully he still has it and will hold onto it till next weekend when I can get up there. Knucklehead97
The guy said he'd take 15 for it. He said it has a small leak in the rear main seal, the headliners falling off (don't matter to me), and that the air don't work (I don't really care about that) All small stuff. It has new mud tires in the rear. I may be looking at it tomorrow
Knucklehead97
It's official. Going up there tomorrow with 15 in cash and most likely bringing her home. Will post pics when it's sitting at my house
Knucklehead97
She's perfect! Got her for 1400 and theres only small things that need to be fixed, she runs great and shifts amazingly. Only problem on the 120 mile trek back was a little bit of DW when we took a sharp turn fast. 89 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4x4 :D Thanks for all the information you guys have given me. And thanks for all the help you've given me to find my dream truck, which has now become reality. And I look forward to hopefully pleasing ya'll with a build thread soon, I'm going to post it up and explain it in more details.

HOrnbrod
Glad you made it home on your long 120 mile trek to the Shoals. It's not DW, just a worn steering tie rod end and/or track bar. Congrats, and we will all be there to help do it right for ya.
jeepsouth
Congrats man let the wrenching begin!
Knucklehead97
Thanks guys  If it's just the tie-rod, then it'll soon be fixed with a 1-ton custom tie-rod. The wrenching was going to begin today, but over here in Attalla AL we have a bit of a storm ruining it. Wheres a good place to buy the door window weather seals? The drive side is missing the comeplete one in-between the moving window and the quarter window, it's added a mildew smell to the interior (Carpets and bench seat are going to be removed for extreme cleaning as soon as I get the seals fixed.) Knucklehead97
Also, I'm starting my build thread now. Project "don't Tread On Me". It'll be slow at first but I think it'd be better to start asking questions and keeping ya'll posted in there. Thanks.
