Rymanrph Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I have a 29 spline 8.25 from a 2001 Cherokee that I'm looking to sell. It has 3.55 gears and already has perches welded on for a Comanche. I have all the brake components except the drums. Near Dana 44 strength at a much cheaper price. $150 and pick up only. 704-807-2055.
Rymanrph Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 I seriously thought I would get rid of this pretty quickly. Everyone wants a Dana 44, but they're hard to come by. Sure you can go pull your own 8.25 and then buy perches and do it all yourself, but mine is ready to bolt in.
Zenobian_84 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 :fs1: NC of all places. Wish you were closer Ryan, or I would have been all over this. :(
Rymanrph Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Bump. Its just taking up space in my garage.
onlyinajeep726 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 If it had 4.10s, I'd buy if from you...
Rymanrph Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Did they ever offer an 8.25 in a Cherokee with 4.10s?
neohic Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Did they ever offer an 8.25 in a Cherokee with 4.10s? Yup. Got one under my Eliminator.
mvusse Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 And I got one under Sparkles. Bump for the seller.
phenryiv1 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 If I could find a way to get this, I'd be all over it. Too long of a drive and I'd imagine that shippin gan axle woudl be cost-prohibitive...
onlyinajeep726 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Still have this? I've since discovered that I have 3.55's and not the 4.10's I original thought/posted.
Geonovast Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Still have this? I've since discovered that I have 3.55's and not the 4.10's I original thought/posted. Keep in mind your rear driveshaft may not work, since the snout on the 8.25 is longer than on the D35.
onlyinajeep726 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 What about when I do a 4.0/AX15 swap? Will that make a difference?
Geonovast Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 If it was a 4.0 auto to 4.0 AX-15, it would be perfect, but going to a 4.0/AX-15 will make your driveshaft even shorter, so if you're planning on that swap, then great, get the axle, but don't throw it in until you do everything, then you only need to worry about shortening the shaft once.
onlyinajeep726 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Yea, that was the plan. Going from a 2.5/AX4 to a 4.0/AX15 and beefing up the rear axle while I'm at it. But yes, I'm doing it all at once.
Rymanrph Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 I still have it. I have someone who has said that he wants it and lives right around the corner, but he's been saying that for quite some time. I'm not holding it for him, so if you want it, its yours.
