Backdraft Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Awesome! It has a "straight V6". I gotta check that out!
jimoshel Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Doesn't '94XJ parts be a direct fit? Got a couple '94's. No '92's.
relyt120 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Pix show front end damage  I'm thinking bent fender then I click it and BAM!
jimoshel Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Wonder if I could get JFAComanche6 to go get it for me if I swap him a '89 driveshaft? NAH!! Just a passing thought.
streetjeep2.5 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 A straight v6, huh? So, the straight 6 got bent in half and they straightened it out?????
MancheKid86 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 looks like my 86! cept alot straighter, if any one has skill with a grinder/welder you got yourself a rare manche!
johnj92131 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Sent an email to this seller just today. Hope he calls me back. Could use this to patch up my 91 long bed. Has anyone looked at this truck???
Shane Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Awesome! It has a "straight V6". I gotta check that out! :smart: I do believe that a straight V6 was a prototype that slipped through the door. :dunno: :rotf:
landlubber Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Pix show front end damage  I'm thinking bent fender then I click it and BAM! x2, wow. btw: did anyone ask for the VIN?
johnj92131 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Two emails a.d no reply from the seller. May be it is the holiday.
Dadinator Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 That's OK, Check this one out if you want a laugh... http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/3112481015.html Looks like a decent truck, but the owner is clueless.
one2hunt Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 This truck is local to me and it made me sad when I found it. I totally do not have the skill to tackle anything near this type of repair. I'm blessed that my little 89 eliminator is as healthy as it is. There are a few that pop up but they always look like projects. About 2 months ago I believ a super clean 90 4wd popped up real close to me but I do not have the scratch to buy toys right now.
jimoshel Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Made 3 attempts to contact the guy. No response. Thinking either he got run over crossing the street or he's just playing games.
one2hunt Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Yeah, I've made many attempts now and he's a non responsive seller.
JFAComanche6 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Wonder if I could get JFAComanche6 to go get it for me if I swap him a '89 driveshaft? NAH!! Just a passing thought. I had one from a junkyard cut up thank you very much... it was done by a place called Stan Hopkins too, I recommend them for any kind of rear end repairs.
NotMatt Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I thought the "Power/Comfort" trans button went away in '91?
Exxon Valdez Jeep Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I checked this thing out the first day it poppped up on craigslist, I had the guy text me the vin and build date and it was may 91 build date. I lost interest in it and never replied back to the guy.
