Dave Stark
I work on Helicopter engines for a living as a traveling technician. I thought that i would share some of the pictures that i have taken / acquired through the years. You'll know the ones i took because of the terrible quality... These first are from Mexico: These are from Chile, I didn't take any of these: Here's one i took at a forestry department retirement resort in Alpine TX: That's my car, it did surprisingly good off road with very little loss of control even at speed: Saw this one in Woodland CA: Charlie Schwab's AB139: Saw this one in Georgia? I think: Saw this one in Missouri after a really cool snow storm: That isn't everything by a long shot, but it will do for now...Enjoy!

Dave Stark
Found one of me with some of the Police officers in Santiago... I'm the nurdish guy on the right: I'm at Niagra Falls this week, got some pics today: I almost got taken out by this bird, could never have timed that right if i tried. The falls with Canukia in the background: Can't put any of the helicopters on for this trip...Government. :fs2:

Rich
Great photo's. Is that a MI-17 in the Dakar pix? I was working in Iraq a few years back with the marines and we flew into Camp Fallujah from BIAP on MI-17's, Super Pumas & Bell 412's.
Dave Stark
All of the helicopters in the Dakar pics are Eurocopter, either Astar's or EC130's. The night picture is a bit deceiving, but it is just an Astar with ski racks... The big white one with the red & green stripes is the El Jefe in Chief president of Mexico's private EC725... DirtyComanche
That Chilean company sure went with an acid-trip inspired paint scheme for a bunch of their B3s. I work on these a bit: Image Not Found And these: Image Not Found Hopefully by this winter I'll be getting some 212 time too. Did you have a work Visa for Mexico? I have yet to get any Bell experience, the French stuff requires too much attention... We have sponsorships through companies in Mexico & a couple others which allow us to work in those countries. We have sponsorships through companies in Mexico & a couple others which allow us to work in those countries. You will probably hate Bell products after working on the EC stuff... I got my Astar endorsement (I'm Canadian, so you need a course for each airframe/engine) after I had my 204/205. My mind was blown by the ease at which one could do things on an Astar. That said, I still really like the 205, it's just a lot of work. The 407 is a whole 'nother animal, and I try to avoid working on them as much as I can :rotf:
