89MJComanche Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 How hard is it to do fab work like that?? That is a real good job. I always thought that it would be easy to graft the back end of an MJ bed onto the back of an XJ, but that guy made it look easy with the fab work.

JeepcoMJ Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 it would have been easier to put the rear tips of a comanche box on the thing...but then, where do you find ANY good comanche box parts. and as for people who can do body work, it isn't all that hard to fabricate the pieces to fill a panel like that, given the right equipment. it's all the finishing work...(being good at welding, sanding, smoothing, and painting is not very common).

88swampedmj Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 my sisters husband has a xj that he wants to put a mj tailgate on... but he wants to keep the rear hatch to... kinda like a minivan hatch or somethin haha the tailgate goes down.. and the hatch goes up..

If the front end is wrecked or somebody's going truggy, than might as well.
