Harley
Just curious what people are paying for full coverage? Also, if anybody has collector ins and what they pay? Within the next couple months it will be in a LOT better shape than when I got it a year ago and plan on changing my policy. I was told that I should also have it appraised when its all done. Automan2164
I think full coverage on my '86 is like $230-ish (Completely pulled out of my arse) for six months. The agent did tell me that if I qualified for collector, it might be around $60 every six months... She said it's worth a shot, she's always surprised about what makes it and what doesn't. I'll try once I have more of the visual defects corrected. Already have collectors/vintage plates though. Rob
xjrev10
My 88 was about 40 bucks/month. My 00 XJ was also 40 bucks/month. My 08 Dodge, WAY to much. :headpop: Just waiting to turn 25 so things drop.

I always thought the only requirement is if its 20 yrs or older??? (I know the age varies from state to state IIRC)
Automan2164
I use State Farm. With the antique plates, it just has to be 25 years or older, and I sign a piece of paper stating that it's in original running condition... For State Farm, you let them know you want to apply for the collectors coverage, and they send out one of their cronies to judge whether or not you make the cut. Harley
I got Farmers and they just told me the age is the only requirement. I'm going to do the plates too then at least I'm exempt from the smog BS they have here and my registration will only be $10/yr. Didn't know State Farm had an approval process. That almost sounds like a pain in the @$$ to deal with.
dasbulliwagen
Many companies will also do "agreed value coverage" where you and the company agree on a vehicle value, often after an appraisal, and then get coverage based on that value. Just FYI
Blue88Comanche
I have the bare minimum on my Blue MJ, and Full Coverage on my WK my total is $163 ish with Geico. When I had just the MJ it was $64 per month. I just turned 21 so i am sure in the next few years it should go down, i hope.

carnuck
$1500 a year for 7 vehicles with 2 drivers. (USAA)
Abyx
I don't know where you guys get these prices...either it's because I'm under 25 or it's because I live in New Jersey. I pay 150$/month for my 87MJ...it's actually 143$ or something stupid like that, but it's easier to round it up to 150 in the end. And to think, my insurance went down switching to this truck. nicholasdances
I have a perfectly clean driving record and I pay 70$ a month for my 89 mj. No idea how you could possibly only pay 40$ a month.

Akula69
We pay approx. $675 every 6 mths for my soon-to-be 18 year old to drive the '89, but it is only for liability coverage (of 300K/500K) through State Farm. He gets a good student discount ($241/6 mths) and a discount for the 'Steer Clear' program ($146/6 mths). But - in order to get that rate he has never had an accident or ticket :clapping:
