neohic
Happened to me a couple weeks before Christmas a couple years ago. It sucks and the worst feeling is the thought of someone searching through your stuff without you knowing about it until after... mega frustrating. Hope everything works out for you. Jeep Driver
You need a stay at home wife. Better yet a well armed stay at home wife. I dump a mag in the back yard every once in a while just to make sure the locals don't forget who lives here.

Automan2164
I would still notify the police. Your local one that started the report, and the ones in the town where the pawn shop is at so they know the pawn shop is selling stolen stuff. Automan2164
Does the pawn shop know the stuff is yours? I would make sure they don't sell it and let them know. Without being caught, there is no way for the PD to go forward. The pawn shop should also have a record of how much they paid and to whom. Might lead you to the person that sold it to the pawn shop, which might lead you to the tools from your iraq buddy. I would be sure to work in the part about your buddies tools too. Might help the police work a little harder knowing that tools left to you by a war vet were stolen, and that a patriot was involved. If you don't get the results you seek, news crews are always looking for the stories that tug on the heart strings. If I were in your shoes, as soon as I verified the stuff was at the pawn shop, I have already been at the local and the other PD asking for help. I wouldn't be able to get there fast enough. Automan2164
Better get a move on investigating yourself! I HIGHLY doubt the useless pigs will do anything for you! Whoa... Police can only do so much with information they have. I would say that right now, with the "evidence" showing back up in a place that most likely has cameras, records, and other helpful stuff, that the police have a very good shot at putting the pieces together. shawn
lots of cop-hate in this thread, - and I'm right there alot of the time too, but in balance ive also had a lot of dealings in the last few years with fair, decent, and somewhat helpful members of law-enforcement ( and seen a fair-bit of the opposite, as well). i mean who ya gonna call in a REAL emergency. - the anarchists can only do so much, lol. SPCBruce89
you guys are all very helpful I called the pawn shop and told them my story and they said that its still there and they do have a record of who they purchced the compressor from they said if I had a detective come and take a statement they would glady give them all the info they wanted so we are headed down the right path. and on the bad cop, good cop point I too have had run ins with bad cops and good ones too in the civilian side and milatary side as well, being a vet myself. lets hope tomorrow they get the job done and find the person who did this. Also I repaired the door and installed motion lights through out my acre and a half yard

Also I repaired the door and installed motion lights through out my acre and a half yard Couple of things: Yes, there are police officers who give a bad name to police officers. Happens in the military but we don't label every military person something similar to "pig" for that reason, do we? There are those who sold parts on this list that did things in a bad way, but that does not mean when you sell parts here you should be given a "pig" kind of name. My daughter, when young, got hives twice, the second time in her throat. She was hospitalized. They wanted to do those tests that would poke her with a lot of needles to find out the cause. Before they did, wife and I investigated, and finding the ONLY thing different was what she ate at school on those two days, and it was the only times they served it. Told the doc what I found out but he still wanted to do the tests because HE was the doctor, not me. We said no and took her home, and whenever the school was going to serve that again she took lunch and never had hives again. BUT, that does not mean every doctor is to be labeled with a "pig" kind of name. Second, it is really good that the compressor did not sell as fast as the crook hoped! HOPE YOU GET HIM OR HER!!!! SPCBruce89
so I got a call today, they caught the guys who broke into my garage last night in the act of breaking into another one in another town they didn't recover my battle buddies tools but knowing that they caught them is good enough for now. :fs1: on another note my ex wife txtd me and told me she slept with another dude, one who I just happen to hate with a passion, so with every batch of good news just know that bad news might be around the corner god bless, Johnny

Good to hear. Maybe they will have an idea of where your buddies tools went, but at least they can tie them to your stuff, and you know that they are caught. Some good in there. :fs1: on another note my ex wife txtd me and told me she slept with another dude, one who I just happen to hate with a passion, so with every batch of good news just know that bad news might be around the corner - god bless, Johnny Well... Isn't something like that the reason she's an "Ex" Wife? I wouldn't dwell on it much. She's obviously just trying to get a rise out of you.
