So after many years of searching for a MJ, I found one here.

My buddy is picking it up from Joe tomorrow for me. I have some plans for it, noteably the interior and exterior swap, and maybe a motor swap. I will start a build thread when I get started.

Here is our current Cherokee, which is number 6 or 7, and is a great little unit.

2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited

181K miles

We are the second owners of this XJ, which was incredibly maintained by the previous owners.

Suspension:

2.5" Rough Country 4 cyl TJ coils

2" OME DR22X AAL

JK Rubicon shocks

Rancho RS5000 Stabilizer

Zone BPE for rear

Wheels/Tires:

16" TJ Rubicon MOABS

255/70/16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R

Other Notable Modifications:

Jeep Cherokee Tent

Autopal H4 Conversion

Surco Roof Rack 50"

Detours Offroad Hardware "Tailbone" (being built)

Husky Liners

Exterior LED's

Lots and lots of paint polishing (I am a detailing nut)

Started like this:

To this:

And finally here:

I am a certified automobile nut, and Jeeps have struck a chord with me. I am looking forward to finally building the long bed Comanche Classic that I have always wanted.

Thanks for looking.

I think the icons looked better than the moabs, but to each their own.

Thanks for the comment. The change to the MOABs was I had an offset issue with the icons and mt/rs sidewall lugs rubbing the lca's. The change eliminated this issue.

Sure do. I am fine with the way it looks now, pretty basic setup that is not stock. I will save the fun for the MJ.

I had the same problem on my silverstars, WJ LCA's solved that problem.

Hurry up and start stripping that thing. I need some interior parts.

Welcome to the club. The 97+ conversion is a cake walk. Just take your time and enjoy the ride. There are a few here who have done it including me.

Feel free to ask for help anytime you need it.

You were the first on my list to PM about parts.

Hopefully the weather holds and I can get started.
