tbrand
Head over to the DIY Writeups section of the forum, and there's a whole thread devoted to driveshaft length.
maddzz1
Best bet is to go to a driveshaft shop and have your 2wd shaft shortened.
jimoshel
I build all my drive shafts with a 12 inch long heavy duty rubber hose in the middle. This not only absorbs drive line shocks, making life easier on rear end, transfer case components but can be stretched or compressed to fit various configurations. Incommando
I use Schedule 40 PVC for tubing ( make sure it is schedule 40!!!) when making drive shafts... On a more serious note, it is a ton cheaper to have a drive shaft shortened then lengthened.
1tonMJ
What kind of a place could do this job typically?
Jeep Driver
A drive line shop. Or call a couple of transmission shops and ask who they use.
