Am I the only one who has a High maintenance Comanche?

Every week it seems like a whole new Nother thing or project I need to tackle. Wether it be tracking down a wiring issue, or adjusting a door, or a wheel hub rubbing when turning a corner. Or the power steering pump whining on revs, even though th eRes is full.

Ive been working on my truck for well over a year, from one project to the next. And Ive found that ...its almost there. I just need to do THIS now, or THAT.

The THIS & THATS never stop though. I just want to Enjoy driving the Truck. 6 months of no breakdowns. 6 months of no "needs to be replaced or upgraded". 6 months of trouble free enjoyment.

I really REALLY like the truck. I truly do .....but as silly as it may sound, I think my truck is Jinxed. Just wondering if anyone else seesm to also have a Jinxed truck that doesnt give them trouble free "start & go" enjoyment. comanche.gifcomanche.gif

You're not alone.

Mine was ultra reliable until this year. Every time I get my 4 days off from work, I have to do something to it. It's piling up along with all the other chit. I'm considering buying a new DD.

Actually the age of a vehicle has very little to do with it's reliability. It's how it's taken care off mostly. There is two ways to go about it.

1. Start at the front bumper. Inspect, replace, rebuild every moving part on it. End up at rear bumper.

2. Just wait for something to break, then repair replace it.

There are only so many parts on a truck. Eventually you will have replaced everything with new parts. Now, when you go someplace it will be a new part that breaks. Not an old one. :wrench: comanche.gif

My doors usewd to leak, but I added a thin shim because they had a slight sag, allowing water to trickle in at the top. My wtare bottle used to leak, but I cleaned the lid real good & the threaeded top part & i tighten it really tight, now my water lasts a few weeks atleast b4 refilling/

my tranny broke, a/c leaks (and is thus useless for Alabama summer), doors leak, and the pressure bottle leaks.. does that count as "high maintenance".. if so then I feel your pain..
