Sir Sam
I need to just go live in Saudi Arabia or something like that where I can just grow a massive beard and (mostly) fit in fine. EDIT: Alaska too.
Comanche County
I need to just go live in Saudi Arabia or something like that where I can just grow a massive beard and (mostly) fit in fine. EDIT: Alaska too. No in Arab countries the four finger length beard and beards in general are more a religious symbol. If you want to be seen as a "man" it takes a killer stache like Saddam's. Sir Sam
................a killer stache like Saddam's. LOL nice pun. EDIT: I guess maybe that's not really a pun.......but its still funny(get it? He massacred his own people.....killer stache......... :rotf:
terrawombat
I've been shaving since I was about 15-16 - was only once every 1.5 weeks...what I'd do to get back to that. At 26, I have to shave every other day to keep up appearances at work. I have never let my full beard come in and I don't think I ever will until I'm retired. Should have done it in college to see what it would have looked like, but I was too busy trying to get the ladies ;)
NewfieMJ
Baby face I've been called by many women , they all seemed to love it . Maybe that's why I didn't settle till I was 38 , I wanted to share , lol . I'm 42 now , still can't cut a beard . After 24 hours from a close shave , I look like most right after theirs . I can easily go 3-4 days before shaving and not look bad . Hell , I think if you looked close enough , there maybe 1 or 2 hairs on my chest , but ya gotta look hard , LOL . I don't mind it at all . As long as it all stays on the roof , that's fine with me  , so far , so good Do I even look 42 ?

Oddmodman
I am in Alaska. And part native Eskimo. Pappy and Gramps were white. So what do I get? Coal black facial hair with individual white, gray and rare reds thrown in (weird), can't grow sideburns, stache, or goatee, and it takes about 2 weeks to grow maybe 3/8in long from my jaw line to my neck. Underarms are sparse, nether-regions are ridiculous though. *Cough, that's where I really need to trim... I end up using a Braun electric job. Not a blade. There's an option on the blade to get close but not down to skin. That's the option I use whenever I need a shave. That noon-shadow look. EDIT: Talking about my face for the last 3 sentences. SW86
talk about old thread! I'm rocking the stache' now. love it except for the trimming every couple days or else food and drinks like to live up in there!
RubberDuck
I shave every other day, been doing it since 9th grade. The only difference is that for the last 2 years I've been using a straight razor. I tried an electric for a while, and gave it up after a month, and the disposable blades would only last me 2-3 shaves, max.

Rinsing disposables in rubbing alcohol when you're done makes them last a lot longer.
mnkyboy
I shaved the annoying stubble off last night, I hadn't shaved in two weeks. I'm 33 and still can't grow a beard, my younger brother turns into grizzly Adams in just a few days.

Rinsing disposables in rubbing alcohol when you're done makes them last a lot longer. not with my hair. I tried alcohol, "stropping" on a pair of jeans, using a toothpick to clean between the blades.. I'm happy with the straight razor. It's easier and faster now. Bmoore2
I look a dog with the mange if I try to grow a beard... Can grow a stach and a goatee but by cheeks are patchy as hell. It looks awful. :ack:
