M1A1TankerTom
its time for some new tires. I am currently running 32x11.5's and am wanting to step up to some 33's. I really wanted to get some Trxus MT's but due to price I think I am going to run some BFG KM2's. So I am debating whether I should get 33X10.5 or 33X12.5. What do you guys think? Pros? Cons? What are you running? In all honesty I am kinda leaning twoard the 10.5's but my mind is not made up so I want your help!
mnkyboy
IMO 10.50s would look too narrow,I've got 33X12.50s on mine and I like them.
SW86
when i step up to 33s I'm getting 10.50s. i think they look/fit just right. i always hated a wide tire. i know there are guys running both on here, just ask for some pics. hell why not cut the middle and stick with 11.50s? best of both worlds
Dirteatr717
Depends on the terrain you wheel on, if you wheel on sand and softer dirt then a wider tire would be best but for mud and snow skinnier tires dig down to solid ground. I'm currently running 33/12.5s and love how it handles on the road with a wider stance
whowey
I've use 12.5's on my wheeling XJ... They are VERY floatation tire feeling going down the road. I doubt that the extra weight of a built MJ would be enough to cure that. Some folks are fine driving that way. I did not like the feeling of not having the control over the Jeep. I ran 33 x 12.5 tires for years. Always thought they were too wide, sticking out past the flares. And I thought the 10.5 inch tires looked a little too skinny. So I went with some 33 x 11.5 (285/75/16) KM2s. I'm really happy with the decision.
