Hey guys I was wondering where you bought your perches from when you did a SOA, I have a dana44 rear and I was looking at the bluetorchfabworks perches for 39.99 on 4wheelparts.com

Thanks in advance

you can get MOPAR perches from the dealer for ~$12/ea

BTF makes some pretty good stuff too.

OR just grab some 2x2.5 1/4 wall box steel and cut your own with an angle grinder. You should only need about a foot of material.

Thanks bruin it's always nice to have options! I've thought about the 2x2 box steel before as well.... Hmmm :smart:

Its quick and easy... but make sure you use at least 2.5 wide and no less than .25 wall.

Also, check out the local hotrod and drag shops in town. When I SOA'd my '89 I grabbed a pair of extended length perches (helps axle wrap on the hi-powered street machines) for $20 for the set from a local drag racing shop.

Buy the Mopar perches. They are HEAVY duty, and you can't possibly justify wasting the time to make your own given how cheap the Mopar parts are.

aren't the mopar perches like 16 bucks a pair?

Maybe less. They were about $12 per PAIR when I bought them, but I'm sure they've gone up. But that's per pair. When I ordered mine, after seeing 4x4 vendors getting $40 and up for so-so perches, I heard "$12" from the parts guru and I had to ask, "That's for one, right?"

He said, "I don't know, that's the price for the part number you gave me." (I had the number from the printed Mopar Performance catalog, but the catalog didn't specify if it was one or a pair.) So I had him order two. When they came in, the boxes clanked. So we opened one box -- and out came two perches.

Best deal in history, beyond a doubt.

They sell perches at a place in my neck of the woods for $7 each. They're 1/4". It's a metal fab/supply place. Most of their stuff is for big trailers, all kinds of radius sizes Another option but the Mopar stuff is probably your best bet.

I just got mine from JEGS two weeks ago. They are the MOPAR perches and run 12.99 a pair. S + H was 4.99 =$17.98. They are very solid and heavy. I should be having them mounted in a couple weeks when I swap in the D44.
