I need new rotors and pads and I don't want China made junk from advance auto parts. Has anyone bought the Bendix or Raybestos brand from Rockauto before?

I have Bendix front rotors and pads on my '01XJ that I bought from RockAuto. The pads came in a Bendix box that said 'Made in USA' on it, but I don't remember looking at the rotor boxes. They seem fine - I'm not driving a sports car so if it stops, good enough for me. The brake dust is annoying though, but a monthly car wash takes care of that.

Rockauto was $115 with shipping, Ill check out JCwhitney. Everytime I buy brakes from advance they glaze over squeak and pulse the pedal. Thanks for the input guys.

Same here. I usually get the mid-grade semi-metallic from whomever is closest with them in stock. I only had an issue once with a high end NAPA set that jsut wouldn't grip no matter how hard I tried. Swapped to an entry level semi and the issue went away immediately

I remember reading on here that one type of pad for the rear swells with condensation and causes the rear tires to lockup easily... I'm pretty sure it's ceramic and I know you guys are talking about fronts... Ive been running duralast pads since last may and theyre quiet and clean and holding up pretty well for my granny driving style and I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in about the rears :wavey:

Duralast=duracrap i'll never buy it again. Typically I only use bendix but have used raybestos with good results aswell. Rotors I buy what ever is cheap as most are made in china these days
