i need to put new tires on my grand cherokee but wall mart will not put the 235/75/r15 i want on it so I'm going to use the mj to get the goodyear wrangler authority tires on it or a set of goodyear wrangler duratracs from our local goodyear dealer

Ive heard that walmart will not mount tires that is bigger than what i came with from the factory if its not a factory tire size it does not fit. the Goodyear dealer will put any tire that i want on my grand cherokee.

Pull the tires off the Grand, throw them in the back of the MJ, and then go get the Authorities at Wal-Mart mounted, if the rims are loose, they won't ask questions.

i agree. if they ask you can tell them they are for an '88 ford 150. i've had a few places deny to put anything but oem size on a vehicle so it would't surprise me if walmart did. if you take them in off the vehicle there should be no problem.

Buy the tires and then find a small shop ( :USAflag: ) that keeps the money in the USA to install them. I always take my tires to one of the local used tire places to have them mounted and balanced. Also, 30X9.5X15 is right around 235/75-15 and will give you some other choices and fit on a stock ZJ.

This is a true statement for SAMS as well.

I get my tires from SAMS because of the price discounts I get as a member on very good quality tires.

I bought 4 16" rims off a totaled Grand Cherokee Limited that someone had bought for the engine, and was parting out what was usable.

Before I had a chance to swap the rims, one of my tires developed a leak while I was at work.

Note that my factory original spare tire is dry-rotted, flat, and unusable.

So, knowing that I'll never use the tire again anyways, I used fix-a-flat on it and limped to SAMS, which was only a few miles away, and had my wife meet me there with the new rims.

When I asked about putting on the ZJ rims, they told me that they could put the tires on the rims, but couldn't put the rims on the MJ because they're larger than factory. The tire department manager was really nice about it, and wanted to do it, but the computer wouldn't let him, and he could lose his job if he doesn't do what the computer tells him to.

So, I put the rims on myself in the parking lot.
