btm24
I emailed Chrysler for the build specs, just go to chrysler.com and email them from there asking for your factory build page. they are really nice and get it to you within a few days. However if your truck is to old they may not have it any more :( And the tool box i got that at auto zone for $100 new :D I had to put to things of lumber under mine and bolt it into the side of the bed. It took a bit of work but for a $100 new i didnt mind. If you need some help with putting it in i can upload some pic's of what i had to do. MancheKid86
amc jeep was competition, it was their vehicles that made jeep popular, not chrysler, chrysler just doesnt want anything to do with amc, and phasing out records 29 years old is one of the ways they are doing it, the vehicles that amc jeep made were way cool, Chrysler hasnt really changed the designs at all, its just chrysler being chrysler

Matt1971
Well they have changed the design, no more CJ, no more MJ and the new jeeps just don't look as manly I'm sorry to say. The new Jeeps are kinda metrosexual. They need to do what Ford did with the mustang and bring back the lines and the ruggedness that made the Jeep popular in the first place. btm24
Well today I fixed my dome lights and installed my fog lights. Here is my dome light fix: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=26449 ill get around to righting one up for the this page soon but its fine for now. Edit: ok so here is the build for the lights sry it took so long. So i have never heard of any one doing this but my dad sure helped me out. So my dome lights did not work like most peoples don't. Well he took some wire and his soldering gun and put some wire in between the contacts since there was not one to get the current to run through the light. Well, now that he did this he hooked them back up and they work and we just super glued the lights in. Also I found out that the lights had a built in map light. They flip up if you push on them with the doors closed to come on and in the middle they are neutral and do not come on even with the doors open and in the down position they are supposed to come on when the doors open. now if you rig it like we did they come on with the doors open in the down position and in the middle neutral position. Hear are the pics: here's a chart to explain better And here is what it looks like on the light its self: and here they are in action Now mine didnt have clips either so we just super glued them in :rotfl2: I hope this was a help to any of ya'll and thanks for waiting for me to put that up. Brandon And now here is the fog lights. I got them from my gf's dad gave to me about 2 months ago. So me and my dad got around to wire them in this week end. We wired them into my low beams because there was not enough wire to go to a switch for the dash. the grill is in the way so they point to the ground just in front of the hood when driving that’s where i see the beam. Here’s the pic's of what it looks like now since i didnt get any pic's of wiring them. They just look nice no real use. also if you look close i painted the rest of the grill here are pic's of that: I had the grill off to wire the lights so i painted the rest of the grill at the same time. It looks really nice to. sorry i don't have the time to right up another build for this page about the dome lights but mine work and do stay in place for now :clapping: thanks for checking out my build :chillin: Brandon

tbrand
still not got shop class to put in a new rear main seal or replace the bad freeze plug. Brandon I don't know about the freeze plug. The rear main job is an oily one, but trust me, if I can do it, you can do it too. I seem to remember that the RMS, the oil pan gasket, and the sealant were somewhere between $30 and $50 - I bought a lot of other stuff at the same time, so memory is hazy. You'll need a torque wrench to get the bearing cap(s) back to spec. Buy a good one and it will pay for itself several times over with this one job. Once you get done swearing at the oil pan gasket that won't stay aligned, and the oil dripping on your face, you'll stand back and be amazed at how much money you saved over a mechanic and how much you learned doing it yourself. Then you'll look at the now-smaller puddle of oil and try to figure out where else it's leaking. Jeep on!
btm24
why think you for the confidence but i really don't thank I'm ready to try that with out my dads help lol and think god i don't have to by a torque wrench my dad has all of his tools at home so i don't need any :D i don't get why my last post copyed its self tho :dunno: i think that i am going to change the rear main when i dot the 4x4 convert cuz most every thing will be out any ways  Brandon
knever3
I saw the first thing on your list was to "build" a small sub box. I am a car audio enthusiast and I have built many boxes, I decided to buy this instead. I can't buy a speaker and make the box for this price. I have yet to install it but this winter is the plan. I will be running mine with a Zapco studio 204. btm24
so i have a small update here. 1st here's a pic of a hole i dug with my tire just for $#!&s and giggles  its about a foot and a half deep. any ways the other day i went to the JY and got my self a really nice working stock clock. here are the pics of putting it in: Here is what i had before i just put a temp gauge. here is the dash off this is behind it idk why there is an X tho and here it is i got it working i just can't believe that all the wire's are back there for the fog lights and cargo light and here is what my bumper is looking like :( : i can't wait to get my new one I am taking off the comanche emblem off the tail gate that i put back there when i 1st got the truck. since i now have two I took the one off the tail gate and am moving it and the "new" to the fenders where they are suposed to be. I can't wait to get them on. I am very happy with the clock to. and all for 10 bucks :D Brandon
btm24
so Over the past week I got my self a nice K&N cone air filter that I'm going to be putting soon, took that emblem off the tail gate the art teacher at school here painted the one that was in rough shape and will put both emblems on where they are suppose to be (on the front fenders). And now I'm thinking about getting them hood louvers or hood vents for my truck. But before I go cutting up my hood I wanted to know since it makes vents in the hood right above the motor would this make the motor sound louder on the out side and or in the cab of the truck? It gets hot during the summer here so It would help alot with the temp under the hood. I just don't know yet. Thanks Brandon
snowboard3r411
i have vents on my cherokee and it dose not really make it louder but you can hear your engine knock alot better haha and i got my build sheet backs thanks for your help on that
