Philistine Posted August 30, 2010 Share Posted August 30, 2010 Just got back from a trip to Minnesota which included a full day at the Minnesota State Fair and I reconnected with my favorite Minnesota fare, Deep Fried Battered Cheese Curds. This year we got: Deep Fried Veggies with ranch (Broccoli, Cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms) Deep Fried Cheese curds Sweet Corn dipped in butter, sprinkled in salt Jalapeno Cheese and bacon Deep fried nuggets with Jalapeno ranch Millennium fries with cheese (huge basket of deep fried thin sliced potatoes, and nacho cheese) Walking banana split on a stick Dippin dots ice cream Some pics: Veggies: Millennium Fries: Midway: I love the fair food. But at least they look like there were beer battered. Deep Fried Cheese curds +1 Sweet Corn dipped in butter, sprinkled in salt Again -1 to vegetables. I think my favorite state fair food would be corn dogs. I know, it sounds boring, but nowhere can you get a good corndog any better than at the fair. Rob L. not since i've really known you. my wife is from rockford so we visit her family every now and then. haven't been that way in awhile though. we'll be heading up to milwaukee and madison in december though. But then again I like em with honey (yeah, I know, weird) or ketchup as well. As long as you keep the mustard away from me, no one gets hurt...
