I would be honest with her and tell her that her back side looks much nicer than that old MJ's does. Of course, this assumes you have an after market bumper and not a factory one in pristine condition. If you have a pristine factory rear bumper, that changes everything.

My wife would pack me a lunch and give me gas money to go away!

My wife actually has.....

A couple of weeks ago, we were annoying each other... She looks at me and says."Why don't you call Rob(Automan) and go to the junkyard or something. You are getting to be a pain in the butt."

We should just camp out in a couple old conversion vans and make a trip out of it. Could use a vacation. We can have marshmallows roasted over a tire fire... :brows:

You also can't forget how when you ask what you guys are doing on the weekend, she automatically responds with, "What time does Rob want to go to the junkyard?"...

I am bad at compromising. If you are good at it, and the woman may be worth it, try and work it out. I date on occasion, but eventually run every girl off. For now, this is my GF while I clear the property I just moved in to in Oregon:

At least I can say the girl will always give me wood.

tell her the truck is a preoccupation, not an infatuation, and that if she feels threatened by the truck, to just tell herself... ITS JUST A TRUCK, not a threat to my relationship. The only thing threatening your relationship is her thinking she has to compete. Tell her its a hobby, its a way to "relax", and that there are many worse things you could be doing than working on your truck. Good Luck!

:wall:

lol used that,

hahaha didnt work out too well, she looked what infatuation meant online, and she got pissy,

I'm in a pickle now :shake:

I have 37 jeeps in the yard. have had over 100 in the last 2 years.... have the j10 and th 90 waggy for dd's at this time..

I have parts all over the place... I deal with customers ( on the phone nad emails from 8am to 10 or 12 at night...

its my life and my girl loves me for being a nut... she would rather me in the yard playing jeep guy then out at the bar or running the roads...

so if your friend is talking about your truck now she does not like you for who you are because your a jeep guy and as you know jeep guys eat, breath, work and dream jeep///

this is the shortest and nicest way to I can say this

move on before you wast any more time on soemthing that is never going to work....

if you stay to geather you will both be soapbox.gif

:needpics:

lol had to :rotf:

needs pics you say?

well then, i guess you are correct,

she dun gots lots of photos, but i lucked out and found one

VERY NICE!!! Youre a lucky man.... looks like a keeper! And even better if she knows her way around a wrench! My wife acts like shes interested sometimes, but usually when it comes down to it, she backs off... oh well. I'm hoping to get my daughter interested enough when shes older to get dirty every once in a while working on cars.... she'll have to if she wants a car to drive when the time comes.

And I mostly replied to this just to be able to have her pic up more than once!

Hey, that's cool!!!!! One word of advice from an older fella who has been married for awhile...............DO NOT start the "rubbing greasy fingers" war.......however if SHE starts it then you must finish it. :brows:

Laughing and giggling doesn't get wrenching done, but it is a good way to spend time together. :D

I've always thought I was very fortunate in my choice of a woman for a wife. It was the day after her 14th birthday when we met. I was 17. 2 days after we met we got engaged. 4 years later, 3 years in Army, we got married. I was gone half the time working overseas. When home I played with my cars, mostly Jeeps. I could bring anything home I wanted, junk cars, airplanes, motorcycles, stray animals, anything except another woman. But that was OK 'cause I didn't want another one. I taught her to fly and she got her license. I talked her into making her first, and last parachute jump. Once I brought home a 1947, I think, Jeep P/U. She looked at it real close and finally said, " Honey, I think you bit off more than you can do on this one" Anything I did was OK with her. After 44 happy years, with a rough spot here and there, She left me, Anoreism, Not spelled right. I've looked, maybe not to hard for another women but don't think it will ever happen. To all you guys out there with a good woman, treat her right. Life is to short and uncertain to not enjoy it while you can. And to everybody who read all this I apologize.

I really like my MJ and XJ, but my real passion in life is Ultimate.

I told my (now) wife when we first met that I don't really do too much and I don't have a lot of expensive hobbies .. but I will always play Ultimate. I've been known to play 4-5 times a week. Even my family knows this and I have missed family functions to play. Now, when I tell her I'm driving to Nashville (45min) to play, she either has the option of coming along or doing her own thing. I get no complaints.

Moral of the story: what ever girl you start dating, you gotta be up front with her about your addiction. If she really likes you, she'll put up with it and stay with you.
