Where can I get one of these?

The bolt, castle nut, cotter pin and heim joint should also be available at any hardware store, but for the spacers you still have to go to someone that sells RE parts, or RE themselves.

That really is a bad design. That poor rod end does not have a chance on surviving.

Might I suggest you pick up a spare?

I have to ask why you say that. My TJ sports an RE front trackbar of the same design, and truth be told, it is the ONLY part (with exception of the springs) from the original RE kit I have not replaced due to failure in the 6 years since I installed it. Yes, even the brake lines failed on me a couple years ago. I do not know much about suspension design/geometry, but I do know that is one piece that seems to have held up over time.

The heim joint used in the RE1600 trackbar is made by QA1. The RE1600 heim has a reputation to get noisy and fail over time, and that is with a quality QA1 heim. I'd NOT ever recommend going cheaper with a hardware store (Chinese made) bought heim as a fix. I posted the QA1 part number; I'm sure it can be found cheaper than threw RE directly.

The issue with the design that I believe cracker is referring to is the fact that it's single shear mounted.

Thanks for the guidance, I should have a new hardware kit on the way Monday.

I have no idea how long the track bar has been on the Jeep but the heim joint is still nice and tight. The bolt was loose when I bought the truck and the threads are mangled from it wobbling around. I'm sure the extreme duty version is beefier since it is a double sheer set up, but I'll take my chances with the current style.

The one I got from my hardware store is USA made, looks beefier than the original I replaced, and is not any cheaper.

But I ran out and was back at my house in 20 minutes, as opposed to having to wait 4 weeks to get RE stuff that was supposedly in stock finally shipped out to me.

May want to go ahead and change out the frame mount while your at it. If the hole is waddled out it won't take long to mangle your new one. Pull one from the JY from any XJ and if I remember right the TJ's are the same as well.
