has anyone used the rocky road 6in Bolt on SOA kit? Kinda wondering if it'd be easier than welding on my axles. that and when i do the ford 8.8 swap then i could just swap them over.

I've seen those and they look feasible (and alot easier) plus they have nice looong perches. If you go that route post up your results and ease (or difficulty) of installation. I was thinking of using these too. It seems like it'd be musch easier to set angles as well.

Friends don't let friends buy rocky road... erm I mean Rustys, many guys have had bad bad experience with them, some (Mnkyboy) has used them sucessfully... Personally Id never do it

the bolt on kits are axle-specific, meaning they will not work on a future 8.8. the bolt-on perch uses the stock MJ perches for strength and location, perches that will not be on the 8.8

welding perches to an axle is about as easy as welding gets. Mopar perches are only $18/pair at the dealership.

yes! let's make sure we add MORE parts that can move to the axle that sees more stress!

AWESOME IDEA!

seriously. bolt on SOA perches are a garbage idea.

You can use this to calculate SOA lift..

A lot of people mention 2wd or 4wd leaves as calculating lift, but I see that as a moot point. Lifting is going from what you're at to where you will be. Unless you're switching leaves, it's irrelevant.

My RRO bolt on SOA hasnt given me any problems although i don't plan to use it forever, once i get a D44 i plan to remove the bolt on section and weld the perches to the D44.
