Sorry no pics but I just stuck mine on top of the dash just above the radio. Sticky velcro holds it in place nice and solid. And before anyone jumps me for sticking stuff to my dash, I wanna say it was already cracked and tore up.

If you have buckets and a center consel you can mount it behind the center on the back wall.

I mounted mine there and it works great. Out of sight and out of mind.

That would be nice location, but i have a bench seat.

I have an overhead shelf for mine. In the next phase, the small one is out and I'm replacing the dash radio with a full CB.

When you're bouncing around you don't worry about jaming you eye into the corner? Or is that why you selected a smaller unit?

...where will the radio go?

I never use the radio in that truck so it's simply going. With a seatbelt on my 6ft frame doesn't contact anything. It's tucked up there pretty good.

here's an earlier shot taken while i was building it:

that's a switch panel at the far end.

i like that shelf pete, how did you make it?

i don't have any pictures but i always mounted my cb in front of the 4x4 shifter, i took out the cig/ashtray and it was a perfect space to put mine.

with the cb overhead near the mirror you'd just about have to be engaged in uh... "extra-curricular" activities involving yourself and a mate of your choice in order to hit it...

its extremely out of the way.

that said, my visors were to long so i put mine behind the passenger seat on the end of my sub box so its out of the way but there when i need it. sticks out about an inch into the center

At 6'3" & 245 lbs. It's alot closer than I would like. Maybe if I got one of those super small units, I would feel a bit more comfortable.

bought it. from jcw.com I think. It's been a while. I made the sunvisors. Wit the shelf in place, the visors hung to low. the innards of my 86 MJ's visors fit perfect so I pulled them out and recovered them with the same speakerbox carpet I put on the roof. The visors in my 88 didn't have the same cardboard inside. :hmm:
