aemsee Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Going to look at another truck saturday. Southern, supposedly rust free. non running 96 4.0 5spd conversion with harness installed. 2wd and missing header panel, seat and fenders. The price is firm at $250. Maybe I can tell my wife I'm just storing it for someone :brows:
cocco78 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I've learned its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission :D Or to find a wife that is as sick as you :clapping: Mine points Jeeps out to me and says "maybe we should stop and look at that" Now I find it feels weird to be the voice of reason for a change!
aemsee Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 I'm just kidding. She drives my truck more than I do. I loaned it to my Dad last summer for a month and she wouldn't talk to me for days.
Wildman Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I got your back on this one........ Just tell her your storing if for me :D Ya know I'm running out of room for the MJ's :eek: If she asks, just call me and I'll cover it for you :yes: Also.......this sounds like another one you found in May :hmm: Oh, that's right, thats the '90 white one............ :teehee: Good luck, and you know, if you really don't want it..............I'm here :D {I liked Pete's idea with the sheet :rotf: }
freakjeep93 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 lol thatl work but then she might get mad that hes spending to much money :cheers:

You would be amazed what they will do for a vacation. :clapping:
Sir Sam Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 lol thatl work but then she might get mad that hes spending to much money :cheers: He can just say the Jeep came with an extra axle that he sold to buy the earrings. This is why you always need an emergency fund of money, for buying forgiveness!
aemsee Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Well, after two weeks of trying to set something up with this guy, I give up. Too much going on with work right now to chase people. Can't get anywhere but voice mail and he won't return calls. It is open for you to add to the collection Wildman! I'll forward the pic message he sent me of the truck if you want. PS. The last time I bought diamond earrings for my wife she made me return them. Too impractical for her. She wanted to go out for dinner and new snows for her ZJ instead.
Pete M Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My almost-MJ-number-5 fizzled out the same way. I hate idiots who don't know how to answer the dang phones or return calls. :fs1:
dasbulliwagen Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Ive had the same problem trying to find a bed for a friends yota, I see one posted, and call, and the jerk at first acts like he doesnt know what I'm talking about, then when he realizes, the dang bed isnt even anywhere where it can be looked at to be bought! What the frick did they list it for sale for then! Stupid people! Oh and my friend had first dibs on my 87 MJ, but passed it up and told me about it. I bought it, and havent had any problems, and hes been regretting it ever since! And since that time, hes rebuilt the engine and trans in his yota, and borrows the MJ when his is in the shop. I figure I owe him that much! :brows:

I'll be watch my e-mail for further info. :yes: Then I can complete the stripping down of that one red one, and still have a full dozen :D Mr. aemsee, I've got something new since your last visit - I figured if I start running out of room, I can start stacking the MJ's up :D
CEThomas Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 A man with 12 MJ's, god knows how many XJ's, a boat and now a fork lift. He needs help :clapping:
Wildman Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 A man with 12 MJ's, god knows how many XJ's, a boat and now a fork lift. He needs help :clapping: I sure do........ Know any one looking for a job???? And god know I have 3 XJ's :D The boat is not mine, it's my "old" helper's thats storing it there......"For Sale" while he's in Florida (Couldn't talk JT into taking it on his way down :fs1: ) Anybody want to buy a boat????? :D Oh, and you forgot the old cuber that being used for storage right now :D The forklift is for stacking the jeeps up, I'm running out of ground room :( And.......it's for unloading shipping units that are coming in under my new "Dealer/Installer" contract with a manufacture :banana: (and you wonder why I don't have 'extra' time on here anymore :( )
88mjmanche Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 i want your tallgate :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows:

Installing parts for all the new cars being sold :doh: And it's OK, we all know that you are using the boat for smuggling Jeep parts out of the land up North :Canadaflag:
freakjeep93 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 whats wrong with up north just cause all our stuff rots away ...........
CEThomas Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Nothing wrong with up north :hmm: We all know Wildman is using the boat for smuggling cheep jeep parts past US customs to sale on the black market. Why do you think he had to move to an old warehouse and get a forklift :brows:
freakjeep93 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 lol makes sense ........ which black market is this?? :D
aemsee Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Just check rochester craigslist. It is listed as comanche parts. I might be looking for a temp job. My room at Morrisville is going to take a few extra weeks to get ready, and the fine company I work for is probably going to give me the time off without pay until it is ready. I think I can draw unemployment during that time, but who knows. I drove a fork lift for three summers during college. 12 to 14 hrs a night in a bean canning factory. It's tough to transition back to a car after that. Almost took the front end off my Mustang a few times backing out of the parking spot.
Wildman Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 And it's OK, we all know that you are using the boat for smuggling Jeep parts out of the land up North :Canadaflag: :rotf: No, nothing like that, Me, out on the water........No Way :eek: I don't even like driving over bridges :eek: I had to drive over this bridge 2 weeks ago, and I did it with my eyes closed :yes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Grand_Island_Bridge I'm a land lover, and I keep it that way :D And, I'm not installing any parts on new cars, I don't work on any vehicles that's newer than 14 year old. Mr. Aemsee......... I seen that add a couple weeks ago, I think I dropped him a e-mail, and never heard back. Look at his e-mail addie.......sounds like a "chop shop" dude that thinks parts are worth 50 times there true value. I'll drop him another mail and see what happens. I thought school was starting like.........next week??? What's the students going to do??? The fork lift is to unload units that are coming out of Montreal (yea Canada) but not auto parts, It's a product that I've been installing for over 6 years thru someone else, and I got the direct lead from the manufacture, and set things up to be a Dealer and still the installer, but directly thru them, no more middle man, and waiting 3 months to get paid for the installs :fs1: Just waiting for the jobs to be ready, and I've got 4 installs to do, (2 in the Rochester area :brows: ) plus my door jobs. I've been looking for 6 months for a lift, missed a few, and found this one at a good price, so........I grabbed it :D Unload the crates, store them, and when ready, haul the crates out to the cuber and load up the van. Less hand work. Plus, one of the jobs I bid, I would need it on the job site for an install. And if any more MJ's find me, I'll start stacking them up :yes:
