1993 YJ won't crank

We have a 93 yj we replaced the rod bearings from the underside..have no idea before we bought it what happened to it..She turns over and is gettin fuel and fire but will not crank...Wants to but just won't fire..Any suggestions???

replaced the CPS...still no cranky.. :headpop:

Did you see Pete's post, above? "Cranking" is turning over -- i.e. the engine revolves when you engage the starter. It sounds like what you're trying to say is that it cranks but doesn't fire. Assuming that's the case, have you tested to see if you have spark?

I am sorry for not being dead to nuts with my terminology. Turning over could also technically mean you flipped the b*tch upside down..So here is what it is doing..Turn the ignition..it then engages the starter that turns the flywheel that spins the crank..Its is doing all that..There then is for a fact fire/spark at the sparkplug itself..However the engine will not RUN..I am going to check the timing. :shake: :shake:

see if itll start if you pour gas in the TB. If its got spark, air, and fuel it will start..

 

 

....and compression

 

Is the cam sensor hooked up? You say you don't know what happened to it before you bought it, did it run then?
