djag12 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 What type of adhesive do you use to attach it. It is taken out of a newer xj that I purchased from a member. Isee when pulling my old stuff out it has some type of gooey adhesive.
wolfpackjeeper Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I did not use any type of adhesive. It has a lip to hold it in, and the molding fits over that. I have not had any problems and have no places where it is coming back off.

HOrnbrod Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 No, really I used baby snot from the neighbors three year old when I put the new weatherstrips. It acts as a great lubricant while installing, then hardens into a flexible adhesive. No problems so far.....

phenryiv1 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I used a tiny amount of RTV red, but only because I have had bad leaking in the past, and because I did not have weatherstripping adhesive on hand.

Wonder if this had anything to do with my recent brake squealing problem? This sounded more like a pig though, but the neighbor's baby was kind of ugly...........
