This is my Mvusse tribute thread

I had the jeeps up on the fork & walkie lifts at work this evening. The MJ was awesome, but I did notice a few issues with clearance that need to be addressed ->

The rear shock is bottoming out early :fs1: . And the front may need to be trimmed or bump stopped ->

More pictures are in my build-up page - Rich

Thank you '67  . And I am now broke too, can't afford a paint job unless it could be picked out of a junk yard .

Excellent!

You don't need a 4x4 MJ for that. But you will need some extra cash to buy the lift and tires.

:agree: Yup, all the lift components are the same for a 2wd axle.

Seriously, you could pull one for me  ! No need to ship it  . If you could place a hold sticker on the blue for me, I could pick it up in early summer when I come for the “mjeff87 move in pow wow.”

Ground clearance and a rear locker will do more for ya on the trail than you might think. :D

yea. i just don't see the point in lifted 2wd's. although i would like it to be maybe 2" inches taller so it wouldnt look so friggin small. lol then i could put 30's on it and 4.10's and I'm sure it would look allot better. I'm just trying to find a heck of a deal on the parts for a 4x4 swap, then ill raise it up a couple inches. nothing extreme though. 2-3 max

The point of a lift 2wd is that you need clearance, but don't own a 4wd. Don't let yourself get sucked into the "I'm going to look like a poser" mentality. Desert racers are mostly 2wd. And there's no wasted money since the 4wd swap can happen second. It's all one big project, what does it matter what comes first? Plus it's cheap to regear since you only need to buy one axle right now. Just please don't spend any coin trying to improve your Dana 35. If you find one with 4.10s already in it and it's dirt cheap, then you have my permission to buy it. :D

nice! what rims are those? here is mine doing a little flexing!

Looks like we both have the same camera  . Nice flex you have going on there too. The rims are the 17x8.5 3.5-BS Walker Evans wheels.

Envy2 cell phone? lol ill have to get some better flexing pics. it goes like 3-4 more inches yet :brows: and thanks for the rims info..... 17x8.5 = $325 ... please tell me that is for all 4 and not just one!
