if all goes as planned and the spring weather cooperates, we're shooting for a mid-June closing and move-in, Rich.

C'mon up...I'll beer ya up, and feed ya 'till you can't move anymore (that is, AFTER we get everything moved  )

Construction guys were on their game here this past week.....they saw the weather report and decided to dig the foundation and pour the footer last Thursday, before the storm hit us. If not, we'd have been set back about 6 days, thanks to the 1.5" of rain we got on Saturday and the 10" of snow we got Sunday.

no, not quite that big (although they have models in that range, to up over 3000 ft/sq). Ours comes in right at about 2000.....which is plenty of house for me and the missus, plus the three gatos. It's about 450 more than our current house, plus the garage.

Did I mention the garage?

Oh yeah, there's the garage too.....

Yea.......But, that don't look like a 4 bay garage :hmm:

And is the floor thick enough to support the 2 post lift???

And with the floor already poured, did you plan on the drain grade down the center?

I take it the hard air lines will be dropped out of the ceiling.

LOL Wildman......I lost the post-lift option when we decided on the bonus room overhead for the missus :fs1:

House is coming along nicely, and the weather is cooperating so far……now that the roof is on and the doors/windows are in, rain isn’t so much a concern until we’re almost done and the driveway and walkways get poured and the landscaping goes in.

Looks great! I love new construction, just watching it come together. I guess since it's not complete, you couldn't give us the obligatory "what's in the fridge" for all us views here on the triple C..................."Yo Comanche Club Cribs!"

Jeff, I assume by the comment that wifeypoo gets the bonus room, she has no part of the garage?? Because, I don't know about your arrangement, but NORMALLY the MAN gets the bonus room to create his man cave. That's why it's called a "bonus room". The wife gets the whole house to do with what she pleases, but if the man wants a room to do something with, it can't be part of the regular house so you get (1) ONE extra room, or bonus room. Then there are certain "automatics" assigned to each member of the marriage. Such as.......master bedroom = wife. Garage = husband. These are non-negotiable. Now, since you are the cook of the house, I assume you had some say in the kitchen so maybe that's why you gave up some of your manhood with the bonus room?

Don't worry......I measured that carefully, trust me  . There's a strip of housewrap across the top that needs to be cut a bit, so it looks a bit deceiving. But, the garage door (when opened up) sits about 9" from the top of the framing :shake: . If my calculations are correct, I *should* have about 3" of clearance to get it in and out :brows:

the scheduled close date is June 29th, but we're about 2 weeks ahead on the construction schedule up to last week........the rain put a couple days of delay in because the driveway and walkway couldn't be poured. They're all framed out and ready to go, hopefully they pour today. I'm estimating the weekend of the 20th, if all else goes as planned :clapping:

Jeff

p.s. where the h@ll have you been? gimme a call.......

 Noooooooo! I'm heading to Hilton Head that weekend for vacation! I was really looking forward to seeing everybody. I need to make a few calls to some inspectors down there, slow things up a bit LOL. Oh well, can't hold back progress, but I'll be watching closely for the final date to be announced.

drywall is in and done, all painted. All cabinets are in, too. Leaving for work this morning, I saw a cement truck heading up the road that was full of my cement :D Pulled right into my driveway and started pouring……
