It is true you usually get what you pay for. It is also true sometimes you pay a premium just for the brand name. There are a number of quality products on the market for the front suspension and steering from makes other than Moog.

I put MOOG ball joints on both my MJ and my TJ...one of the lower MJ one's was bad out of the box... I just bought another... I didn't want to mess with trying to get a replacement for a $30 or whatever balljoint since I was in a hurry... Not many miles on either since (Zero on the TJ), but it seemed like a quality product...

 

I got mine on Amazon.com for quite a bit less than any of my local parts jockeys, 2 Day Free, no tax...

I will let you know when I scrape the dust off the boxes and get them in( money, or not having any, always seems to get in the way of repairs). I have decided to replace the hubs at the same time since they are also 20 years old and it will be apart anyway. With new u-joints(spicers), ball joints(moog), and hubs(timkens), I will hopefully never have to pull it apart again.
