if i was to but a hp dana 30 in the front instead of the normal one how hard is that?

A 4wd MJ already has a HP Dana 30 up front. :hmm:

The HP and LP versions of the D30, are BOTH BOLT IN's all MJ/XJ/TJ/ZJ's reguardless of how came from the factory.

YJs had them too, but the brackets need slight modification. Unless you want to try to run leaf springs at YJ width (or not).
