The 'manche I got from my dad had the same B&M shifter handle installed on the stick. I hated it... nice looking MJ tho.

 ...already a 4.0 manual and a 4wd... wouldn't that be nice (but not free like my basket case)

I cut the end off my Pugeot shifter and welded on a new one to install almost that shifter knob. I have the one with the writing outlined in red on mine. Pretty cool, except when its 90 degrees outside and the MJ has been in the sun all day.

I don't know how far you want to travel but I know of one here in CT. It's out in stafford. It's a manual shortbed 2 point whatever... not a 4.0  . The guy told me 2 or 3 hundred like a month ago. He said when you fill the gas tank over half way it leaks and sometimes when you start it it shoots oil from the motor. It's an 88.

That seems to be a common problem, and probably NOT the tank.

Which I found out the hard way, when I first tried to fill the NEW tank I had just installed, and watched the gas flowing out around my feet from beneath the vehicle. The problem is often where the fuel hard lines go through the flange the mounts in the tank. One or both tubes gets loose and the gas flows out through the cracked seam. I'm going to try carefully wire brushing it with a bronze cleaning brush, then epoxy it and hope for the best.

epoxy likely isn't going to hold up the gasoline Eagle.

Try getting one of those tank repair kits and using the sealant included wiht those. Epoxy hols up well to methonal/alcohol, but gas softens and eats it eventually.
