comanche13
would you recoment a warn winch or a mile marker winch or should i go the cheapo way and go costco winch cause they got life time warranty =D
CWLONGSHOT
I have both. the TJ has a MM 9500 while the MJ has a WARN 8000. If you use them as 90% of winch owners do the cheapo will serve you just fine. My club had an ongoing thread on this and finally decided to check it out first hand. one of our "aggressive" members bought a Harbour Freight special for his Sami. that little cheapo pulled that sami and a whole bunch of the rest of us up some serious terrain and never had a single problem. With the big names you have a big sales pitch to help pay for. You don't with the cheaper models. Unless you can find a name brand used for a good price, I say go buy the cheapo!! BLHTAZ
I'm with CW... If you can get a Warn at a REAL good deal, then go that way, but the MM will do you fine. We have a MM8000 on out YJ and while it has not seen a lot of use, it has never let us down. The only difference I have seen is it is a bit slower than the bigger names. IDXJ
If you want a warn winch at the best price, look into the Tabor brand. It is made by warn. I am running the Tabor 9K on my XJ and it has been a great winch for the price.

Read some bad reviews of this winch around the intardnet, bought it because of price,it's been used and abused,(by me) would absolutely buy another. My .02.
jtdesigns
Do they still make the MM hydro winch that uses your power steering pump pressure instead of electricity???
89eliminator
I've got the Warn M8000 and it seems to be decent for the truck. i had to upgrade the solenoids once to a heavy duty kind. the winch new is one of the cheapest Warns out there.
