Just received word we get a hurricane day tomorrow. :D

BLHTAZ'll know what that is.

Looks like Fay is gonna touch down real close to

Ft.Myers if she doesn't make a last minute turn.

Glad that I have my beater,I'll be out cruising tomorrow, :brows:

looks like we'll get lots of rain and flooding.

Whoopee,jeepin' in the streets!Gotta love

Fla in the summer. jamminz.gif

Take my word for it, you don't wanna mess with hurricanes. I worked thru Katrina with the Sheriff Dept and it really sucked.

This is a small one compared to that B!^ch, but if you can get away I'd do it...just so you can have a place to crap that flushes and a place to shower that has water.

We're watching it (obviously), but still working tomorrow as of now. She is gaining strength and looking more impressive.

oh crap!!!!!!!!! I hope that bed don't float away!!! :redX:

I think it's OK as it'll have to take my trailer with it. ;)

Yep,they can be ugly.

I've been in Ft Myers since '68,seen a few.

Lost my pool enclosure 3 yrs ago.

No power for almost a week.Fun,fun,fun.

This one I don't think is gonna be real nasty, though.

Not enough time or room to strengthen much.

But we can always hope. :beerhead:

At least I get a day off,but it doesn't help the wallet

much being a commissioned employee.

Brent,where'd you get that?I'm jealous.

Brent - I realize that you've probably been thru this before...so I'm not gonna lecture you....but you really need to watch yer @$$ with this one...weather undgerground is modeling this one to cross you and then make a 180 degree turn and come back (as of the 1400 observation).

If it gets bad you can always come over here....but I'm not sure how Peanut would like our 4 cats.....

This is the 5 day showing right now...

I haven't been here as long as mjdoa, but I have been trough a few of them now. I know that Charlie was in a very similar position back in 2004 when he went from a strong Cat 1 to a Cat 4 in a matter of 2-3 hours so it's always dangerous. We are prepared for the worst, but don't expect it.

Ok,look at the map you just posted.

See 2 AM Tues?

I live in the little hole in the A.

But like you said,Charlie was a real

ballbuster, and unless this one does something

really freaky,we'll be cool.

You know I'd kill for a bed like that.

Mine's junk.

BTW,I'll get to the bumper project as soon as

Fay hits the bricks.

I pulled something in my right knee sliding out from

under the mj a week ago.Got the axles all changed,

was all done, just bleeding brakes.Stood up off the

creeper,something went snap,and I'm limpin' around

like Festus.

About ready to get my butt back to work on it.

See,told you I'm gettin old.

Sorry, guess that was a bad description,

now that I look at it again.

I've often referred to Lehigh Acres(where I'm at)

as the Ahole of Florida.

Anyway,we're getting it now.

Wind is constant about 45-50,gusts to maybe 60.

Raining pretty good. Started this post 3 times,

power keeps going out.News says 4500 in Lehigh

without electric,we're ok this far.

I have 5 aquariums running,so it's fairly critical

that power stays up.

No,I don't have a generator,too poor. Waah.

The storm center should pass over in 3-4 hours, then we'll

see what kind of damage we get.

If anything gets tore up,I'll get some pics and put

them up.

jt,nice find,and I wouldn't even think of

snatching it.(liar) :brows:

I'm 150 miles from Brent,you're safe. ;)

Well...in the last 30 minutes we have gone from total calm and no rain to 20 - 25 MPH gusts and heavy rain. It's gonna be a long wet day...

...BUT...I am ready with lot's of ...

...and all of the normal essentials as well ;) .

Enjoy. It looks like the center is right near here.

Just waiting for the wind to change direction.

Appears to be heading right at you now.Ruh,roh.

Good luck.I don't think we've seen more than

a couple 60 mph gusts.No damage yet.

But of course,I just finally had the screen enclosure redone

after Charlie's mess,$1100.00,so you knooooow

it's gonna have to screwed up.

I got a few pics out the garage door.

I'll post some up when it's over.
