  1. Looking for a set of 17" wheels, 5x4.5" (stock) bolt pattern, with real beadlocks. Anybody have a set they're looking to offload?
  2. Hi guys, I've been tryna find a decent set of used aluminum wheels for a while now. I wanted some with minimal offset so they'd fit inside my fenders when flexed out. I finally found a set off a Ranger that seem right but was wondering if anybody's tried them before. I don't wanna do any cutting and would rather leave my flares on. Thanks
  3. I have a 1988 Comanche pioneer that I just bought and when I turned the wheel all the way to the right I heard a pop/click sound and then my steering wheel had a little bit of play but my tires weren’t moving. I had to pry the sway bar off of the track bar in order to have motion in my steering wheel again and be able to move the wheels. I’m wondering what the previous owner did, but more so how I can fix it. Hopefully the pictures explain it better than I did. Thank you for the help first picture is before and second two are after I turn all the way to the right. Last one is upside down but a panned out view of the front end.
  4. I recently bought an 1986 Jeep Comanche pioneer and have done a decent amount of work on it but I needed new tires. I found some wranglers off a 2007 Sahara and I know they won’t fit. I need a spacer/adapter and a lift kit to make them fit. Any suggestions?
  5. I've been kinda curious if wheel spacers would look kinda good on a MJ, or would it look tacky. I've always been a fan of the stance of stadium trucks/short course trucks and was curious about a proper way to get a descent looking and modest stance that isn't overaggressive or gaudy. (Not the best pic, but you get the point)
  6. Planning a future wheel swap and I have a question. I know the younger (and less cool :teehee: ) MJ owners are repulsed by the idea, but are there any direct-fit wheel options in CHROME? Has Jeep release any OEM chrome wheels?
  7. Hello everyone just wanted to know if the stock Jeep wrangler wheels would fit of my 1989 MJ without any modifications or problems The link is the rims that I am talking about http://bonnieheights.com/jeep-wrangler-stock-wheels-and-tires Thx
  8. I'm getting ready to swap out both axles in my 87 MJ and I want to go to a 5" on 5-1/2" bolt circle, probably 17" bout would consider 16" I want to have a little more choice in for the tires and I want some more room in the center hub area for the Super Winch lockouts on the front. I know I could buy new wheels but I would rather find some at the Pick a Part if I can. What do you know of that meets the criteria above and is also aluminum? Thanks
  9. When stripping down an old aluminum wheel to sand/polish, will regular old paintstripper take off all clearcoat without hurting the metal? Also, when finishing, most people like to use clearcoat so I've read. Can you just wax it instead? Or is that a bad idea because wheels are so close to the ground and get dirty so easily you'd be re-waxing once a week? Or can you clearcoat and then wax?
  10. I've got two sets of aluminum rims that I will need to change tires on. When changing tires on aluminum rims once before, they became scratched. Anyone have any advice or know of tire tools that won't damage aluminum when mounting/dismounting tires on aluminum rims?
